Respected sir / madam,
Every year, the Indian Psychiatric Society—Karnataka Chapter holds a state level
inter-medical college UG/Interns Prize exam in Psychiatry in order to pique the
interest of medical students and interns in this field. The first three winners will be
awarded a cash prize of ₹5000, ₹3000 and ₹2000 respectively along with a merit
certificate at IPS-KC’s annual conference- KANCIPS 2024. It gives me great pleasure
to inform you that this year’s exam will be organized by the Department of Psychiatry,
Gulbarga Institute of Medical Sciences, Kalaburagi, under the supervision of IPS-KC.
This exam will be held on June 28, 2024 at your respective colleges.
I hereby request you to share this information with the students and interns and
encourage them to participate in this prize examination.

INSTRUCTION TO CANDIDATES
Dear Medical UG students/Interns,
Greetings from the Indian Psychiatric Society - Karnataka Chapter With the aim of
creating interest in psychiatry among medical students and interns, every year IPSKC
conducts state level Inter-medical UG/Intern Prize Examination in Psychiatry. The first
three winners will be awarded cash prize and merit certificate during annual KANCIPS
2024. All are invited to take part in this activity.
The above-mentioned exam for the year 2024 is scheduled to be held on
28/06/2024.
This will be an offline exam and will be conducted in your own college premises.
All Undergraduate MBBS students and Interns who will not complete internship
before 27/06/2024 are eligible.
Examination will have MCQs covering the entire spectrum of psychiatry.
Interested candidates can register their names with the assigned coordinator,
Department of Psychiatry in your respective medical college, by paying a nominal
fee of ₹70/-.
The first three winners will be awarded cash prize and merit certificate during
annual KANCIPS 2024.

INSTRUCTION TO CO-ORDINATORS
Exam to be conducted on 28 June 2024, Friday, between 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm only.
Registered students are eligible for this offline exam with registration fees of INR
70 rupees. There is no upper limit for the number of students that can be registered.
MBBS undergraduate students and Interns who will not complete internship before
27/06/2024 are eligible to in participate this prize exam.
Kindly mail the list of students registered for the exam before 20-June-2024 to
email id: [email protected]
Please conduct the exam in your college premises.
You may receive the soft copy of Question paper & answer sheet by e-mail 2 days
before the exam. Kindly take printouts of Question paper & answer sheet in
sufficient numbers to distribute among students at the time of examination.
After the exam, collect only the answer sheets and question paper can be given to
candidates. Please check for candidates name, year, signature and coordinator's
signature on the sheet.

Please take photographs/scan all answer sheets & send it to the email address
[email protected] before posting them. This is to be safe just in case there is
delay of consignment delivery or loss in transit.
Please ensure exams are conducted fairly.
Please take a short video of exam being conducted and mail it to
[email protected] The co-ordinators may collect the exam fees (₹70/Student) from the individual
students, keep (₹20/student) for local expenses and send the remaining amount to
7411973319@ybl via UPI or scan the QR code below and add note regarding the
name of college and number of students.
