Locations
Many of the locations in the module can slot seamlessly into a
modern setting, but below are recommendations for updating a
handful to be better suited. In general, focus on the mystery of
the setting. There are many things here that cater to fantasy, but
eldritch horror can be evoked simply through tone and not
revealing your hand too early.

CHARACTERS
Below is an alternative character creation process that can be
used in lieu of the standard Character Generation method specified
in Liminal Horror (LH p.6-11). The intent is to ground the
characters more directly in the setting, though supplementing with
additional info from Liminal Horror is encouraged.

FALLOUT
In the general sense, Stress in Liminal Horror is a representation
of the toll encounters with various horrors have on a character,
and Fallout represents that individual physically changing as a
result. For Fever Swamp, a slight change is warranted.
There’s a disease out in the swamp, the namesake of the wretched
place. Fallout is a representation of the symptoms of the disease
and Stress is the vector in which it is spread. Unlike standard
Fallout, some of these can be “cured” through medicine and rest.
However, once a character has taken on 4 Fallout, their HP is
reduced to 0. If that individual dies while in this state, their
body will rise shortly after and join the ranks of the Sodded
Dead.
