Company study case
Introduction
You have your own company since one year but you realize that your co-workers
aren't working efficiently so you decide to ask for a report to the heads of each departments
and it said that some coworkers are making injustices to another's, specially male managers
harassment to female co-workers, also if a male is in the same department, has same hours as
the female they gain less money than the male because he have more rights, some co-workers
fired to the ones who doesn't have the same skills, or same academic levels, and all these
reasons are making that no one wants to work with their workmates and they prefer to work
individually. And by all this situation you feel disappointed for the bad attitude of all your
team members who are not doing nothing to do a better work environment but you need to
solve the problem in few weeks because most of the coworkers have demanded you to
improve the situation or to pay a big amount of money.
Quality education
It is critical to ensure that all employees, despite their education level, have the
training and professional development they need to do their jobs successfully. This ensures
that all employees have the necessary skills and that they can work competently and
efficiently.
Implementation: Implement training and development programs for all employees,
despite their academic level, race or religion. This not only improves employees’ skills but
also creates an environment for continuous learning and development.
“The right to education means the right to learn. But children worldwide are unable to
attend school, or to develop basic reading and math skills, for various reasons. Poverty
remains one of the most obstinate barriers.” (UNICEF, 2024)
Gender equality
It is crucial to create a fair and equal work environment in which all employees,
despite their gender, are treated with respect and haveenjoy equal opportunities. Combating
discrimination and harassment is critical to improve employees’ morale and productivity.
Implementation: Implement strong anti-harassment and anti-discrimination policies,
ensure women receive equal payment as men for the same kind of work. It also promotes a
culture of respect and gender equality throughout the organization.
“Gender equality is a fundamental human right. It's also a precondition for economic
growth and prosperity. UNICEF works across the world so that all children enjoy the same
resources, opportunities and protections, no matter their gender.” (UNICEF, 2024)
Reduce inequality
It is essential to ensuring equal opportunities and fair treatment for all employees.
This includes combating discrimination based on race, disability and immigration status and
adding mobility equipment in case of need.
Implementation: Establish equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion policies for all
employees, regardless of race, religion, disability or immigration status. This includes
reviewing and adapting hiring and promotion processes to eliminate discriminatory biases.
“Around the world, people are cut off from essential care and services on the basis of
race, gender, disability, language, religion and ethnicity. Without investments to shield
children from the lifelong consequences of discrimination and exclusion, progress towards
equality will stall.” (UNICEF, 2024)
Peace/security, justice and strong institutions
It is important to ensure peace and justice in the workplace is critical to creating a fair
and transparent work environment. Corruption and injustice must be combated to ensure
ethical and responsible leadership.
Implementation: Implement an anonymous reporting system so employees can report
instances of corruption and injustice without fear of retaliation. Establish a clear code of
ethics and business conduct and ensure that all employees, especially managers, adhere to it.
“Governments offer the first line of defense for children at risk – birth registration
systems that give children legal claim to vital social services, equitable justice systems and
other forms of child protection.Violence takes many forms: emotional, physical, sexual. And
its effects can last a lifetime.”(UNICEF 2024)
BODY
To address the issues of inefficiency, harassment, and inequality in the workplace, we
will research and implement strategies. The goal is to create a positive and inclusive work
environment where all employees feel valued and respected.
We will implement team-building activities to foster collaboration, communication,
and trust among employees. We will also provide training sessions on diversity, inclusion,
and unconscious bias to raise awareness and promote empathy. Open communication
channels will be established for employees to report incidents or concerns without fear of
retaliation.
To implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we will provide training
and development programs for all employees, regardless of their academic level, to ensure
they have the necessary skills to perform their jobs efficiently. We will implement strong
anti-harassment and anti-discrimination policies, ensure equal pay for equal work, and
promote a culture of respect and gender equality.
We will establish equal opportunities, diversity, and inclusion policies for all
employees, regardless of their race, religion, disability, or immigration status. An anonymous
reporting system will be implemented for employees to report instances of corruption and
injustice without fear of retaliation. A clear code of ethics and business conduct will be
established, and all employees, especially managers, will be expected to adhere to it.
By implementing these strategies, we aim to create a positive and inclusive work
environment that aligns with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. This will
lead to improved employee morale, productivity, and job satisfaction, ultimately driving
business success.
