Course Description This course deals with the nature of mathematics, appreciation of its practical, intellectual, and aesthetic dimensions, and application of mathematical tools in daily
life.

Credit Grade = (Midterm Grade + Final Term Grade)/2

Policies All students who are enrolled in this course should conform to the following class policies.

1. The university rule on a 54-hour attendance applies: 20% absence is considered failed or dropped, as the case may be.
2. Attendance will be checked at every meeting. A student must complete 85% of the session in order for him/her be given credit for attendance.
3. Students are encouraged to use the resources of other libraries, etc. in the absence of sufficient references in the University Library.
4. Those that cannot come on the examination day are advised to take the test on the day prior to the schedule.
5. No Special Examination will be administered unless an excuse letter from parent/ guardian or medical certificate noted by the guidance counsellor and class adviser is
presented.
