Match Making Process
The core functionality of Merge Partners is to facilitate matches between buyers
and sellers. This process is designed to ensure privacy, accuracy, and efficiency.
When the entrepreneur decides to sell the company he registers the company
and all the details in the website (for example numbers of employees, sector,
revenue, balance sheet…). On the other hand the buyer selects some criteria
about the company that he wants to buy. When those criteria (of the buyer and
the seller) match, the buyer will receive the notification of the match itself. After
this, the two companies will get in touch through the chat box.
1. Profile Creation:
- Sellers: provide detailed information about the company, industry, financial
metrics, and contact details. The information is verified before the profile is
activated.
- Buyers: provide detailed information about the buying company, including
size, revenue, sector, location, and contact details. The information is verified
before the profile is activated.
2. Search and Match:
- Buyers: set search parameters including industry, deal size, geographic
location, and financial metrics.
- Sellers: profile information is compared against buyer criteria to find potential
matches.
- Exclusions: buyers can exclude companies they are already in contact with by
using the "exclude companies which names contain" feature.
3. Notification and Privacy:
- Match Notification: when a match is created, the sell side receives an email
notification to check the information on the website.
- Privacy: sellers remain anonymous until a match is confirmed, ensuring
confidentiality throughout the process.
4. Interaction:
- Match Dialogue Page: once a match is created, a dialogue page between the
parties is opened.
- Chat Interface: enable text-based communication, with the option to attach
and share files.
