Amy Hughes started a clothes company after she had her first child in 2014. Now, she’s got two shops
and sells clothes on the internet to people all over the world. Here
she tells us about her dreams for future.

‘After I had my daughter in 2014, I wanted to change jobs. I was

a teacher and I loved my job, but I was very busy at works and I
didn’t spend a lot time with my family and friends. I loved making
clothes and I made lots of clothes for my daughter. I started a
small company and sold clothes on the internet. Now I’ve got two
small shops!

Next year, I’m going to open another shop. Now, I only sell
children’s clothes, but I’m going to sell clothes, but I’m going to
sell clothes for women, too. In the future, I’d like to make shoes.
And I’d love to open a big shop in London.

I really love my job, but I’m very busy. In the future, I’m going to work at weekends or in the school
holidays. I’d really like to travel to lots of different places. I’d like also to join a gym and do more exercise!
And I’d really love to move to a big house by the seal!”

A MEMORABLE DAY

Two months ago, I did a sponsored bike ride for a cancer charity with my friends Jack and Gemma. It
was a fantastic day.

When I got up that morning. I was worried because the cycle ride was very ling – long London to Brighton.
Could I finish the ride? But when I arrived at the start, I immediately felt better. There were hundreds
of people of all ages and most of them weren’t amazing cyclists. My friends and I chatted to a lot of nice
people as we rode and at first it was a lovely sunny day.

After two hours, we stopped for a quick lunch then got on our bikes again. Suddenly, it started to rain!
Soon we really cold and wet because we didn’t have rain jackets. But we sang out favourite song together
and didn’t think about the horrible weather. At last, after four hours in the rain. We reached Brighton
and the sun came out! We were tired, but really happy.

It wasn’t an easy ride, but we made £340 for charity and had a great day. Sometimes the difficult things
in life are the most fun.
