The Mysterious Death of a Filipina Flight Attendant After a New

Year's Eve Party with 11 Men

1. Hey everyone, in today’s video, we're going to talk about the tragic story of a young and
talented flight attendant from the beautiful Philippines.
2. It's hard to imagine the horror that took place on that fateful day, right after New Year's
Eve. Christine Angelica Faba Dacera was found dead in the bathtub of a fancy hotel
room, surrounded by 11 men. Her death has left behind a trail of unanswered questions
and caught the attention of people all around the world.
3. Was this just a heartbreaking accident, or is there something more sinister going on?
Stick around as we dive into the mystery of Christine Dacera’s death and try to figure out
what really happened to this beautiful young woman."
 Christine Angelica Faba Dacera
4. Christine Angelica Faba Dacera was born on April 13, 1997, in General Santos,
Philippines. She was the second child in a family of four siblings: Monica, Chloe, and J.J.
Her parents, John Nestor Dacera and Sharon Rose Faba Dacera, raised her, and from a
young age, Christine was known for being not only smart but also incredibly beautiful. In
2015, she was recognized as the "Outstanding Student" at Notre Dame of Dadiangas
University (NDDU) and even won first place in the "Science Quiz Bee."
5. As Christine got older, her sweet looks and sparkling eyes caught the attention of many
guys, all of whom admired her elegance and gentle nature. They promised her the world,
but Christine wasn't swayed by the sweet talk.
6. Instead, she kept her focus on her dreams and put her unique talents to work. She gave
modeling a shot and even competed in beauty pageants. In 2017, she entered the Miss
Silka Davao pageant and walked away with the second runner-up title. At 22, she joined
the Mutya ng Davao pageant and was quickly recognized as one of the most talented and
beautiful contestants.
7. In 2020, right after graduating from college, Christine’s stunning looks and long, graceful
legs helped her land a job with Philippine Airlines in no time.
8. While working at Philippine Airlines, Christine really showed what she was made of. She
wasn’t just about looks—she had amazing communication skills too. Her colleagues
loved her for being professional, elegant, and super likable. Christine Angelica Faba
Dacera was the whole package: beautiful, smart, and talented.
9. But on December 28, 2020, she posted a photo with the caption "Last flight of the year,"
and that’s when the tragedy that led to her mysterious death began. From there, a
heartbreaking story unfolded.
 The Mysterious Death
10. On New Year's Eve, December 31, 2020, Christine called her mom at 11:37 PM to let her
know she’d be celebrating the new year with friends at the City Garden Grand Hotel in
Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. Christine had a lot of guy friends because she found it
easy to get along with them.
11. Some of those friends were Rommel Galido, Rey Englis, Louie De Lima, John Reyes
Dela Serna, and Clark Jezreel Rapinan. They were the first ones to book the room for the
party. John was the first to arrive, checking in at 11 AM and grabbing the key to room
2209. Christine showed up later, and more friends joined as the night went on. Not
everyone at the party knew Christine; some were friends of friends. This included
Gregorio Angelo Rafael De Guzman, who was invited by Rommel, along with Valentine
Rosales, Mark Anthony Rosales, Jammyr Cunanan, and Eduard Madrid.
12. Even John Paul Halili, the manager of the City Garden Grand Hotel, reportedly joined the
party that night. According to police records, Christine and her friends had already been
out earlier, enjoying the nightlife in Población, Makati.
13. Around 12:30 AM, they all headed back to the City Garden Hotel, already pretty drunk.
Not long after, Christine did a video call with her family to wish them a Happy New
Year. She seemed happy and excited, updating them about the party. Her friends even
jumped in to send their well wishes. Sadly, Christine didn’t realize this would be the last
time she’d ever speak to her family.
14. On the morning of January 1, 2021, after a night of partying, Rommel found Christine
unresponsive in the bathtub of room 2207 at around 10 AM. At first, he thought she was
just passed out from drinking and tried to wake her up, suggesting she move to the bed if
she wanted to sleep. But Christine didn’t respond, and she was clutching her stomach.
Not wanting to disturb her, Rommel gave her a pillow, covered her with a blanket, and
went back to bed.
15. A couple of hours later, around noon, Rommel went back to check on her to remind her it
was almost checkout time. Tragically, he realized she was gone. Her face was pale, her
lips had turned purple, and her skin was an eerie white and blue. Panicked, he called the
others in the room. They pulled Christine out of the tub and tried CPR, while some of
them called the hotel staff for help.
16. When the hotel staff saw Christine’s condition, they quickly called an ambulance and
brought over a wheelchair. Valentine Rosales lifted Christine into the wheelchair, but it
was too small, and her stiff legs made it tough to get her settled. They rushed her to the
hotel’s clinic, but sadly, they couldn’t save her. Realizing how serious things were,
Christine’s friends and the hotel staff decided to take her to Makati Medical Center.
17. Meanwhile, her family was informed, and Christine’s aunt hurried to the hospital. Sadly,
when the medical team checked her, they confirmed that Christine had already passed
away before 12:25 PM.
18. The next day, on January 2, Christine’s body was taken to Rizal Funeral Homes in Pasay
City for an autopsy. The police crime lab later released a report saying Christine died
from a “ruptured aorta.” They found about 150 ml of dark fluid, which they suspected
was blood, in her stomach. (A ruptured aorta happens when the layers of the aorta’s wall
tear, causing blood to leak inside the body, which can be really dangerous, especially if
blood pressure is high. This can be caused by factors like age and genetics.)
19. The report also mentioned that Christine had an old, healed injury in her genital area that
happened long before the night she died. What’s interesting is that they didn’t find any
traces of male fluids or semen on her. But analyzing the fluids was tricky because her
body had been embalmed before the autopsy.
20. The report also pointed out that Christine had several bruises on her body, like one on the
back of her right hand, two on her right thigh, and a few more on her knees, ankles, and
right foot. There was also a faint needle mark on her right hand, but no one knows where
that came from.
21. With this info, the authorities ordered a search for everyone who had been with Christine
in rooms 2209 and 2207. Christine’s family strongly believed that she was attacked by
the men who were at the New Year’s Eve party with her. When this news got out, a lot of
people were shocked and started wondering how something like this could even happen.
Even though the report mainly said that Christine died from a ruptured aorta, her family
and the investigators still suspected that her death might be linked to the 11 men who
were at the party that night.
22. On January 4, under General Debold Sinas’s leadership, the Philippine National Police
officially called Christine Dacera’s death a case of assault and murder. Because of this,
they charged the 11 people who were with Christine on New Year’s Day with sexual
assault and murder.
23. Unfortunately, most of Christine’s friends who were at the party weren’t cooperating
with the investigation. So, the authorities had to issue orders and start tracking down
everyone who had been with Christine in rooms 2209 and 2207. When this news got out,
a lot of people were shocked and started wondering how something like this could even
happen.
24. To piece together what happened that night, they looked at the CCTV footage. The
videos show Christine moving from room 2209 to room 2207 at 11:21 PM with some
friends. It looks like everyone else was having a good time partying in room 2207, and
Christine seemed really excited to join them. The cameras caught her playing games and
clapping along with her friends. According to one of the guys at the party, she even won
the game that night.
25. At 11:37 PM, Christine and her friends were seen heading back to room 2209. After that,
it looks like they mostly stayed in the room, which lines up with the time Christine video-
called her family to wish them a Happy New Year. Around 2:50 AM, Christine and
Valentine were spotted leaving room 2209 to visit room 2207, just the two of them. A
minute after they left, a hotel staff member showed up at the door of room 2209, probably
to bring an extra mattress. At 2:52 AM, Christine and Valentine came back, and the video
caught Christine trying to kiss Valentine near the door. Valentine seemed a bit hesitant
and gently pulled away before they both went inside.
26. Around 3:15 AM, Christine was seen heading to room 2207 by herself. Just six minutes
later, someone from room 2207 went to room 2209 and then left with a few of Christine’s
other friends. This has led some to speculate that there might have been some sort of
argument involving Christine, causing her friends to step in. The video shows three of her
friends bringing her back, trying to cheer her up with a hug before they all went back
inside.
27. At around 4:13 AM, Christine was recorded in the hallway outside room 2207, and it’s
pretty clear she was drunk. She signaled for one of her friends, and as she got more
unsteady, she started to stagger. John Reyes came out at that point. Christine asked him
for help so she wouldn’t fall, and then she was seen pressing the doorbell before heading
back to room 2209.

28. Around 4:39 AM, there’s a fun moment caught on video where Christine and Rommel
Galido are playing around in the hallway, looking really relaxed and like they’re chasing
each other. Christine didn’t seem to be in any pain or discomfort. But then, at 6:26 AM,
the video shows Valentine carrying Christine from the hallway near room 2207 back to
room 2209. This was the last time Christine was seen on CCTV.
29. Things got controversial when Makati Police Chief Depositar claimed that semen was
found in Christine’s body, but there wasn’t any solid evidence to support this. He also
made some speculative comments about male instincts, suggesting that something else
might have happened since everyone was drunk.
30. However, Christine’s friends completely denied these accusations, saying that they were
all gay and would never harm Christine. Gregorio Guzman, one of the guys at the party,
mentioned that Christine was kind of an “outsider” in the group and pointed out that any
flirting that night was mostly between the male guests. He also added that Christine was
well-liked by all eleven guys in the group and felt comfortable hanging out with the
LGBT members.
31. Christine’s family also filed a complaint against Michael Nick Sarmiento, the forensic
officer who handled her body after she died. They accused him of being irresponsible and
unprofessional for deciding to embalm Christine’s body without their consent. The family
believes that the bruises on her arms and legs were clear signs of an assault.
32. On the other hand, Christine’s 11 friends strongly denied any allegations of attacking her.
While they couldn’t say for sure what caused the bruises, they offered some logical
explanations. They suggested that Christine’s constant trips to the bathroom to vomit
might have led to the bruising. To support this, they even provided a photo as evidence.
The guys pointed out that Christine had been vomiting from 3 AM to 7 AM, and they
thought the bruises might have come from these incidents. They also explained why
Christine was wearing different clothes when she was taken out of the wheelchair.
33. According to them, Christine had vomited on her clothes, and since she was too drunk to
take care of herself, they helped her change into a hotel robe before she went to sleep. As
for the long bruise on her thigh, they suspected it might have been caused by the
wheelchair since they had trouble getting her positioned correctly.
34. But Christine’s mom, Sharon Dacera, strongly rejected both the medical reports and the
statements from Christine’s friends. She argued that there’s no way her daughter died of
natural causes because Christine was young and healthy. She also pointed out that if
Christine had any health issues, Philippine Airlines would have caught them during her
medical checkups.
35. On January 10, 2021, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) took over this
complicated case and started their own investigation. The NBI gathered samples and
evidence from both hotel rooms that were rented that night, including 100 ml of urine
from Christine’s body.
36. During the second preliminary hearing on January 27, the earlier murder charges were
dropped. The court referenced the forensic report from Dr. Joseph Palmero, which said
Christine’s death was caused by “cardiac arrest due to a ruptured aorta.” At the time,
Christine had extremely high blood pressure, and her heart weighed 500 grams, which is
about 200 grams heavier than a normal heart. When her aorta ruptured, she lost a lot of
blood, leading to symptoms like nausea, weakness, and sweating—very different from
the usual signs of being drunk.
37. Sadly, Christine passed away within a few hours due to a ruptured aorta. It’s important to
note that the condition leading to the rupture had started developing long before Christine
went to the party. Forensic expert Dr. Joseph Palmero didn’t find any unusual DNA in
Christine’s underwear from that night, and there was no evidence of sexual assault or any
wrongdoing by the 11 men at the party. In the end, all 11 men were declared innocent and
released on April 23, 2021.
38. Naturally, Christine’s family wasn’t happy with the verdict, and they voiced their
frustration on January 29, 2021. A presidential spokesperson, Salvador Panelo, criticized
the family, saying they couldn’t seek justice for a crime that didn’t happen, dismissing
the clear evidence, and wanting to punish innocent people.
39. On January 7, at 10 AM, Christine’s body was flown back to General Santos on a
Philippine Airlines Airbus A330. She was laid to rest at Memorial Forest Cemetery on
January 10. Christine Dacera’s case sparked a lot of mixed reactions in the media, with
some people criticizing her for being too trusting and for the friends she chose.
40. In many parts of Asia, there’s still a bias against women who have a lot of male friends.
Some people think women like Christine are being reckless and putting themselves in
dangerous situations. On social media, a lot of folks criticized Christine for her choice of
clothes, her drinking habits, and for partying with a group of guys.
41. But these opinions faced strong backlash. Tons of hashtags supporting Christine started
trending online. While some people agreed with the official report that said Christine had
undiagnosed high blood pressure, others were more skeptical, thinking she might have
overdosed or had something slipped into her drink, and that the 11 guys at the party could
have attacked her.
42. However, tests showed there were no dangerous levels of alcohol or drugs that could
have caused her aorta to rupture. Christine’s family is still fighting for justice for her
death, but the guys who were at the party have been facing non-stop criticism and
backlash, which has hurt their reputations. All 11 of them have spoken out, demanding
fairness and justice from the community.
