At 2 PM, university students leave their campuses to head home. One second-year student takes a shortcut through the alleys, only to find one of his classmates being beaten by two men who look like gangsters. The first man is tall, with long black hair tied back, a goatee, mustache, and lifeless eyes. The second man is stocky but not overly fat, with short black hair and a light beard. The tall man says, "You've delayed your payment for too long. The boss wants to see you." They drag the classmate into a car and drive off. Curiosity gets the better of the student, so he decides to follow them on his bike. The car stops at what looks like an abandoned factory, heavily guarded by armed men. The student stays outside, watching from a distance. Suddenly, the tall man emerges from the factory and approaches him. The student tries to flee, but the stocky man is already behind him, blocking his escape. "Who are you? What do you want? Please, let me go,’ the student pleads. The tall man steps closer and says, "You've seen too much, kid. There's no reason for me to let you live.” The student starts to cry, and the stocky man says, "Oh, come on. You're nineteen now. Don't cry. You shouldn't be afraid of death." The student struggles to free himself, but the tall man says, "Let him go, Mike." "But sir..., the stocky man protests. "Alright, as you wish." The tall man leans in and asks, "What's your name, kid?" "Arnold. That's my name,’ the student replies. "What a ridiculous name,’ the tall man sneers. "Go, Arnold. But if | see you in my way again, I'll cut off your hands and make Mike eat them. And you'd better forget everything you've seen." Arnold rushes to his bike and speeds away. The stocky man asks, "Why did you do that, sir?" "Consider it an investment, Mike. You wouldn't understand now. Let's go. The boss is waiting,’ the tall man replies. The two men enter a grand hall, with a desk at the far end. The walls are adorned with weapons, some encrusted with gold. The hall's walls are a deep red, and large portraits of political leaders and figures hang prominently. At the desk sits our protagonist, a man in his thirties with thinning hair at the front, a beard, and a not- so-athletic build. Beside him sits a man in his forties with thick, graying hair. The tall man steps forward and says, "Boss, we've detained all those who were late with their payments. They'll be heading to the morgue soon for their organs." The gray-haired man says to the boss, "See, Anthony, | told you you could rely on Brad and Mike." Anthony replies, "You're right, Adam. They have proven trustworthy.” He looks at the tall man, Brad, and says, "Good job. | hope you didn't encounter too many problems." Brad responds, "| took care of everything, boss. No need to worry." Brad then leaves. Anthony says, "I'm going to see Anna. We have a date tonight. Take good care of the place.’ Adam, annoyed, replies, "! will." Anthony says, "You seem like you've heard something you didn't want to." Adam responds, "You know | don't trust these relationships.” Anthony replies, "Love is usually a bad idea, but we allow it to happen. Don't worry, we're beyond teenage relationships and problems. I'm leaving now." Anthony and his girlfriend Anna are sitting in a restaurant, seemingly having finished their dinner. Anthony says, "I bet Mr. Minister of Health will be furious if he finds out you're on a date.” Anna replies, "You're right. My father is very strict. That's why you need to come and ask for my hand soon." Anthony says, "Only after | execute my big plan. Then | can do it, | promise.” Anna responds, "But you have enough money. Why wait?" Anthony replies, "| can't just leave everything and come to marry you. | want to finish what | started to begin something new." During their conversation, a large man with slicked-back hair enters and pats Anthony on the shoulder, saying, "Mr. Armato, how are you?" Anthony stands up, shakes the man's hand, and says, “Angelo Davros, my dear friend, how are you?" Angelo says, "I thought you might have some time to talk." Anthony replies, "Yes, of course. Give me a moment." Anthony goes to Anna, takes her outside, and hails a taxi for her. He says, "It was a wonderful night with you. Remember, we'll be together soon." Anthony goes to the taxi driver, who is Brad. All he does is nod, and Brad drives off with Anna. Anthony returns to Angelo and says, “Alright, tell me what's going on." Angelo lights his cigarette, looks at Anthony, and says, "You have the strongest gang in this city, and you need to help me. It's not just me; many others are suffering from the same problem." Anthony, puzzled, says, "Speak, what's happening?" Angelo replies, "The clients we supply our goods to have started disappearing. The goods aren't selling like they used to. | want to know why." Anthony responds, "You know | quit the drug trade a long time ago. Weapons and human organs are the real big business. | won't get involved in a trade that relies on foolish addicts." Angelo says, "So, you're not going to help me?" Anthony replies, "Sorry, but let's have a meeting. Maybe we can help each other there." Angelo agrees, “Alright, let's do it." Angelo stands up and leaves the restaurant, leaving Anthony alone. Outside the factory, someone is sitting as if waiting for something. Brad exits the factory and sees the student, Arnold, standing there. Without hesitation, Brad pulls out his gun and says, "You must have a death wish." Arnold replies, "Please, give me a chance to talk. | want your help" Brad responds, "Why would | help you, you scum?" Arnold answers, "Because you're the only one who can. Please, I'll do anything." Brad says, "Speak, and be quick about it.” Arnold replies, "| want to join you." Brad spits on the ground and says, "People have really gone mad. Die.’ Brad points his gun at Arnold's head, and Arnold freezes in place. At that moment, a black armored car enters the scene. The rear window rolls down, revealing Anthony, who says, "What's this? Who's this with you, Brad, and what does he want?" Brad replies, "Sorry, boss. This scum says he wants to join us." Anthony responds, "And how did he know about us? This must be one of your failures." Brad answers, ‘I'm sorry, sir. | should have killed him the first time. I'll do it now, in front of you." Arnold screams, "Please, just let me talk. Please." Brad says, "Shut up, you scum.” Anthony intervenes, "Enough. Get in with me, kid. And you, Brad, we'll deal with you later." Arnold gets in with Anthony, and they enter the main hall. Anthony sits at his desk and says, "So, what do you want? What are your reasons?" Arnold replies, "Sir, | want to join you, seeking power and wealth." Anthony responds, "Do you think those who work here have wealth and power? Are you an idiot? They can barely survive. Don't ruin your life, kid. Don't become a monster like us." Arnold replies, "There's a girl..." Anthony is shocked. Arnold continues, "| love her very much, more than anything. But... she told me about her father. He's a diplomat in the state, and she said he hurts her. She's going crazy because of him. There's something inside me that tells me | need to intervene and protect her. | need money and power to do that, just once, to end this. And besides, you won't let me live if | leave anyway.” Anthony responds, “You're right. We won't let you live. But let me ask, does she love you?" Arnold answers, "| don't know." Anthony says, "What nonsense. But I'll give you a chance. You'll work under Brad from now on." Arnold says, "No, please. He hates me." Anthony replies, "That's not an option. You should be grateful he let you live the first time. Now go." Arnold says, "Alright, thank you, boss." Anthony asks, "What's your name, kid?" Arnold replies, "Arnold." Anthony says, "What a ridiculous name." Brad starts by introducing Arnold to the gang members. "This is Mike, my buddy. You probably know him,’ he says. He continues introducing everyone until they reach a room. Inside, they find a bald man surrounded by candles. "This is Avalach,' Brad says. "He's an odd Asian guy, believes in spirits, magic, and maybe even aliens. The boss keeps him around and talks to him from time to time." The three of them—Mike, Brad, and Arnold—sit around a campfire at night, chatting. "Our introductory tour is over,’ Brad announces. "We'll start working tomorrow. We've got a weapons delivery job." Days pass, and Arnold starts getting used to the gang's atmosphere. He's killed many, done drugs, and even left his old life and family behind. Meanwhile, Anthony is still working on his big plan. Sitting in his office, Anthony asks Adam, "Where's Brad's gang?" Adam replies, "As usual, they're around the campfire. Why?" Anthony responds, "I've got big jobs for them, with big rewards. Bring them to me immediately." Meanwhile, the three are sitting around the campfire when a fourth person joins them. His name is Albert, a tall, blonde German. "Can | join?" Albert asks. "Sure, have a seat," Brad replies. The four of them start talking about their dreams. Brad, high on something, says, "Dreams, huh? We've got this guy here who says he joined the gang for a girl. What kind of crazy person does that?" He laughs. Arnold retorts, "I've already reached the point of no return. Stop it. What about you, Mike? Do you have someone?" Mike interrupts, "Who, me? Man, love is rare and doesn't always work out. | wasn't lucky enough to know what it really is. | won't say | haven't been attracted to someone, but it doesn't matter. Logic tells me to stay away. That was one reason | joined the gang. If I'm destined to be alone, dying in a gang living on the edge sounds great. No girl would want an ugly, fat, and worthless guy like me. They're all after beauty and wealth these days." Arnold says, "Don't say that. You're a great and kind person." Mike snaps back, "Shut up, kid. It's obvious you pity me. | don't need your pity." Albert interjects, "Alright, alright, stop. Tell us something better. What about death? How do you want to die?" Brad says, "I want to die on a pile of money.” Mike replies, “That's typical of you. As for me, since there's no reason to live, I'd prefer to die on a mission." Arnold adds, "Since we're on the topic, when | die, | don't want you to tell my mom right away. Make sure she's calm and has taken her meds. | don't want her to suffer because of me. And at my funeral, hold her back so she doesn't hurt herself. I've hurt her enough in life. That's all | ask. Promise me you'll do that.” Albert and Mike promise, but Brad says, "Damn you, | won't do that. It's nonsense. If you join a gang, you forget about your family.” Albert counters, "Nonsense. Family is the most important thing a gang member has." Brad says, "You seem to have a story. Tell us how." Albert begins, "When | was eighteen, my five-year-old sister died. | heard my mom scream like never before. It was sad and terrifying at the same time. Two years later, our financial situation got really bad. | tried to kill myself but remembered that moment and stopped. | told my mom | was leaving to find work and wouldn't return. | came here and joined the gang, and | send her money regularly. She lives like a queen. As | said, family is the most important thing for a gang member." Brad retorts, "Your mom would kill herself if she knew you were giving her gang money." Albert replies, "| know, but she'll never find out. Maybe when | die. What about you, Brad? | heard you had a love story once. Is that true?" Brad gets angry and says, "Alright, that's enough." As they stood there, Avalach passed by and said, "My dream is to die in a forest, untouched by any human at any time, where flowers will sprout from my eyes and heart, and butterflies will gather around me." Then he left them and walked away. Brad remarked, "What a lunatic." Just then, Adam walks in and says, "The boss wants you, Brad. You and your gang." Brad, Mike, and Arnold sat in Anthony's office. Anthony spoke, “Alright, listen up. You have two very dangerous tasks, maybe more. The first one: | need you to rig the car of Davros’ deputy. | don't care if anyone dies or not. | just want Angelo to know someone planted a bomb in one of his cars. You'll head out at 7 PM. He'll be at a club, and his deputy will need the car. So, get it done before 9 PM. Clear?" Brad replied, "Got it, boss." At 7 PM, the trio headed to the location. Luckily, the guard was distracted by a small child. Brad said, "We won't need to kill him. Watch the place; I'll plant the bomb." While Brad planted the bomb, the other two kept watch. Once Brad finished, they tried to escape. Brad and Mike managed to get away, but the child saw Arnold. The guard tried to stop Arnold, but Arnold didn't hesitate and shot him dead. The child saw everything and started crying. Arnold couldn't bring himself to kill the child, so he left with the gang. The gang reached the factory and reported everything to Anthony. Anthony said, "Good. The dead guard will escalate things. Now, as a reward, Brad and Mike, go with Arnold to that girl's father and teach him a lesson." Arnold was surprised, "Really? Thank you, boss. | appreciate it." Anthony replied, "But remember, Arnold, you're responsible for whatever happens. The gang has nothing to do with it.” The father of the girl Arnold loved was at an important conference. After it ended, Arnold met him and asked for a word. The father agreed, and Arnold took him aside. Arnold pulled out a knife and, with Brad and Mike, said, "Listen, old man, | don't care about your status, money, or anything you own. | know all the bad things you've done to your poor daughter. This is your last warning. Do anything bad, speak to her in a vile way, and I'll make sure this knife pierces your vital organs. I'm sick of you and your actions." The father replied, "I can't believe Emily knows people like you, you scoundrel." Arnold shouted in his face, “You're in no position to say anything, you bastard. Talk to her, do anything to her, and | swear I'll kill you." Arnold left him and returned to the factory with the gang. That night, Emily sent Arnold a message, "| can't believe you did all this. He's my father. How could you interfere in my life? Do you want to kill my father and ruin my life?" Arnold replied, "What? But you told me he hurts you and insults you. You said he hit you and you just wanted to get rid of him. | did this for you. | sacrificed everything for you." Emily responded, "You're insane. He's my father, after all. | shouldn't have told you any of this. | don't want to talk to you again. Forget about me." Arnold tried to reply, but she blocked him. Enraged, he threw his phone, smashing it, and screamed all night. Only Brad heard him. The next day, Anthony summoned them and said, "Alright, your next mission is to go to the mental hospital." Brad asked, "And why is that, boss?" Anthony replied, "I'll tell you a story. One night, a girl said to her boyfriend out of the blue, ‘Can you handle a breakup?’ He bravely answered yes. She smiled sadly and said, ‘I can't. | can't bear to be without you.’ Now, this girl, Alexa Bravetti, is married with kids. The man, Bruce Bianchi, was the Bravetti family's butler. After Alexa got married, he couldn't handle the separation and kept talking to her, asking her to come back. She accused him of being crazy and had him committed to a mental hospital. He didn't resist and agreed to treatment, hoping to forget her. Now, he resides in that mental hospital. | want you to go and get the Bravetti family's safe code from him." Brad asked, "And why would he tell us?" Anthony replied, "Revenge, Brad. He'll seize any chance to get back at them. If he doesn't tell you, no problem. Just come back here." Brad said, "Got it, boss." At that moment, Arnold, infuriated by the story, said, "They're all like that." The boss replied, "Not all of them, but most don't know how to choose. Now, go." The three entered the hospital and tried to talk to Bruce, but he pretended to be insane, refusing to speak about anything. Arnold then said, "Let me talk to him alone." Arnold went into Bruce's room, and they talked privately with the door closed. After a while, Arnold came out and said, "4121016, that's the family safe code. Let's go." Brad asked, "How did you do it?" He looked into the room and saw Bruce with his throat slit, holding a knife. Mike exclaimed, "What the hell happened?" Arnold replied, "This is what he wanted. He traded the information for let him kill himself." When the trio returned with the information, they received their final big mission. Anthony said, “Break into the Bravetti family house without being seen. Open the safe near Brian Bravetti’s office. Inside, you'll find a gun. Kill one of the guards with that gun, leave several bullets from that gun on the ground, and come back here.” Brad replied, “We'll do it, boss.” The operation went smoothly. The three managed to steal the gun and kill one of the guards. However, as they were leaving, Brad noticed a car with Anna, Anthony's girlfriend, heading towards the house. He didn’t mention it. They returned to the factory to find Anthony waiting for them. When they reported back, Anthony said, “There's just one more task...” Anthony arranged a meeting between the five gangs controlling the city: Armato, Davros, Bravetti, Cassano, and De Leon. Everyone sat in a state of rage. Angelo Davros said, “My deputy’s car was bombed. This is nonsense. Someone on this council is trying to overthrow us. | won't tolerate any more.” Brian Bravetti replied, “Someone stole my family’s precious gun and threatened me with it. I'm an old man, and someone is trying to destroy what I've built with these tricks.” Anthony Armato said, “Gentlemen, someone is trying to stop the drug trade. It’s clear because both the Davros and Bravetti families control it. We don’t even know if it's one of us. It could be one of those state-backed organizations. So, | urge calm. That's why | asked you to leave your weapons and guards outside. We need to resolve this peacefully.” Angelo said, “I trust Anthony. He's the only one who doesn't care about the drug trade among us, and he's proven that our interests don't conflict with his.” Dexter Cassano said, “I disagree. If there’s a scoundrel here, it’s you, Anthony.” He pulled out a gun and aimed it at Anthony. Anthony replied, “I thought | asked for no weapons to be brought in here.” Dexter retorted, “Shut up, you...” Dexter's head exploded from a sniper shot by Mike. Everyone was shocked and enraged by Anthony's actions. Anthony continued, “As | was saying, this could reach the state. I’m trying to protect the gangs, so don’t worry about your families. No one will be able to interrogate them. While we're here, they're in a better place.” Everyone went mad. Anthony had killed all their families. Then Arnold and Brad entered, carrying machine guns, and killed everyone at the meeting Days had passed since Anthony had cleansed his city of gangs. It was time to disband his crew. Without warning, the police surrounded the factory. Numerous officers descended upon the entrance. Anthony instructed everyone to stay inside while he went out alone. As he stepped out, he asked the police chief what was going on. Suddenly, Anna appeared and demanded Anthony's arrest. Shocked, Anthony exclaimed, "Anna? But why? How could you?" She replied, "Brian Bravetti was my uncle, and you killed him in cold blood. You murdered his entire family." Anthony fell silent and said, "| don't know what you're talking about." At that moment, Brad and his gang emerged, with Brad wielding an axe. He advanced towards Anna, shouting, "You witch, he did everything for you!" But Anthony saved Anna, taking the axe blow to his back. As he lay dying, he said, "| won't let you kill her. | never ordered this." Then he looked at Arnold and said, "What do you say, kid? Are they all the same, or was it my fault for not knowing how to choose?" With that, Anthony died. Brad killed some police officers and fled into the factory with his gang, but the police stormed in and killed everyone inside. Weeks later, we see a man reading a newspaper. The headline read that all members of the Armato gang had been killed. The man scoffed, "Nonsense." He then knocked on the door of a house. An elderly woman answered. The man muttered to himself, "And | said | wouldn't do this." He entered and helped the old woman take her medication. Then he told her that her son, Arnold, had died in the incident. The house filled with the sounds of crying and screaming. The man left, and we realized it was Brad.
