This technique requires intensive discussion in which every member of the group is encouraged
to think aloud and suggest as many ideas as possible based on their diverse knowledge.

1. Individual
Done by individual .For individual brain storming choose a comfortable place to sit and
think, minimize distractions, focus problem at hand, using mind maps to arrange the
developed ideas
2. Group
Done by a group. Uses experience and creativity of all group members
Welcome creativity and encourage the group members to share as many ideas that come to
their mind regardless whether ideas are practical or impractical. No criticism is allowed
After brain storming session analyze ideas and select the best ones
1. No criticism is allowed.
2. Crazy ideas are welcomed
3. Withhold judgment of ideas
4. Quantity counts not quality
5. Build on the ideas put forward by others
6. Every person and every idea is having equal worth
7. Set a time limit
