Farmar signed with Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel. He teamed with former Duke standout Jon Scheyer and won Player of the Week honors after scoring 27 points against Real Madrid. Gaines signed with BC Armia Tbilsi in Georgia. In his time there, he helped the club to a 3-1 record in the 2011-12 EuroChallenge. Williams signed with Turkish club Besiktas. Williams was voted onto the 12-man squad by Western Conference coaches for the 60th NBA All-Star Game, which was played at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011. This marked his second career All-Star berth as Williams was reward for leading the Jazz in scoring, assists (fourth in the league), minutes and double-doubles (third in the league among guards). Williams is currently averaging a careerhigh 21.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 9.7 assists in 37.9 minutes per game. The 2010 NBA All-Second Team member, who was named the Western Conference Player of the Month for games played in October and November, is the only player in the NBA averaging 20-plus points and nine-or-more assists per game. SOFT TOUCH: Brook Lopez ranked third in the NBA among centers in free throw percentage at .787 (384-488). He also ranked second in the NBA among centers in total free throw attempts with 489, trailing only Dwight Howard at 916. EARLY SUCCESS: Avery Johnson reached 200 career wins in his 281st game, vs. POR on 11/28 (98-96). He is now the second fastest head coach in NBA history to reach 200 wins behind Phil Jackson who did it in 270 games. COME BACK CITY: 3/11 vs. LAC marked the Nets largest comeback victory of the season, overcoming a 20-point deficit to defeat the Clippers 102-98. The previous largest comeback victory of the season was overcoming a 16-point deficit on 1/26 vs. Memphis and winning 93-88. The last time New Jersey came back from 20+ points down to win a game was on 1/2/09 vs. Atlanta, when they were down 20 and won 93-91. MERRY-GO-ROUND: After signing Mario West on 3/31/11, the Nets had 22 players appear in uniform during the 2010-11 season. 23 is the record for the most players to play in a Nets uniform in one season 1996-97 and 1998-99. PLENTY OF EXTRA TIME: The Nets are only the third NBA team in the shot clock era to both win and lose a game during the same season in which three overtimes were played (12/1 vs. OKC, L 120-123 and 3/5 vs. TOR, W 137-136). The other two teams were the Cincinnati Royals during the 1958-59 season and the Phoenix Suns during the 1997-98 season. KEEPING IT CLOSE: 3/23 at CLE marked the ninth overtime game of the season for the Nets. That ties a franchise record for OT games played in one season (1977-78). The Nets nine OT games tied Phoenix for the third most in the NBA last season Philadelphia and Oklahoma City played 10.
