Bolt, India’s first fully Autonomous Shuttle
• Engineered algorithms using a blend of stereo cameras, radars, GNSS, and IMUs to enable Bolt’s autonomous capabilities
• Spearheaded the perception team, and developed and implemented a robust ground-plane segmentation algorithm
capable of segmenting various obstacles such as potholes, effectively detecting lanes, and generating costmaps for planning
• Developed a heuristic pipeline for lane detection, including clustering lanes lines using sliding windows and curve fitting, to
identify and segment lanes, along with a memory-based implementation to predict and enhance the detection of fault lanes
• Increased the speed of data transmission by 150% by writing a ROS driver for the BNO05 9 DOF Absolute Orientation IMU
to transfer data from the IMU to the system. Developed a monitoring system to detect system failure and calibrate the IMU
