the automation of repetitive tasks, like
drafting emails, note-taking & summarising
long -form text.

Communicating
Many educators use AI daily to co-create
scripts & lesson plans, using AI to mimic
their own or someone else’s writing style

feedback on existing content, e.g.
session plans.

By far the most common use case for
generative AI among educators is the
generation of course material, text, images,
videos, images, voiceovers, video/audio
production, etc.

ChatGPT4: for general scripting &


content generation.
Dall-E: for image generation.

speech voiceovers for video or images.

PS: What Can't
AI Do?
While researching AI uses, I also asked
educators what they have found challenging
while working with AI over the last year.
This quote captures the most common

“AI is great for streamlining functional parts


of my process, but not great at writing
objectives, suggesting activities etc. When I
work with AI on complex tasks, the
process takes longer and I get a lower
quality output than I do working solo.”
