I am involved in FBLA as an officer (Being the Parliamentarian for the group). I was once a squad leader in 10 th grade,
but was promoted this year to manage those competing in Parliamentary Procedures, and conducting meetings for the
SFHS FBLA chapter’s officer team.

I am interested in attending the GHP regarding the French language, in order to learn the language at a higher level than
what is currently provided within my school. I personally have enjoyed and appreciated learning this language to the
extent I have done already and feel excited and determined to be given the ability to pursue the chance of doing so at the
quality that the GHP provides. I should be chosen to attend GHP, because of how I’ll utilize this opportunity as best as
I’m able to. In comparison to my peers, I intend to outperform the dedication, enthusiasm, and rate of understanding it
takes to usually succeed in this program. I perceive this event as the culmination of my 5 years of loving French, and that
I can prove to all that I am not the average advanced student simply doing French because it is convenient, but because I
want to invest my time into learning this language to the degree that GHP claims to offer. Having analyzed previous
iterations of the program, discussing with a friend who’d been chosen for GHP French a year prior, and reviewing the
process in which students compete to be chosen, I hold GHP’s value in high regard. I expect the learning on campus to be
supplemental enough to satisfy my desire to understand French to a higher level of writing, speaking, listening, and
general fluency that I could be comfortable with. Appreciating and learning with the community seems like something
I’d always dreamed of, being together with like-minded and hardworking individuals. In my future, I’d like to use my
teachings from GHP to demonstrate to others that I’m a valuable contribution to their group, and that I’ve gained a
substantial education in my past that I will put to work for the rest of my future.

J'ai quatre intérêts dans ma vie: apprendre le commerce, faire de bonnes blagues, jouer au tennis,
et apprendre le français. En particulier, quand j'apprends le français, j'aime comprendre les
facettes historiques et culturelles de la langue. Puisque c'est intéressant et grandiose pour moi, je
me sens heureuse, intelligente et compétente quand j'apprends ce monde. J'aspire a voire l'histoire
que la Francophonie société, et la comment a changé les têtes et les vies des gens qui l'ont parlée
au cours des siècles. La langue n'est pas une traduction univoque de l'anglais au français, et je
voudrais étudier les choses associées avec la. Je crois qu'il y a une grande importance à l'aspect
culturel du français. Chaque expression, chaque tradition, porte en elle une grande d'histoires, et
même si c'est difficile, il explique pourquoi les choses sont ce qu'elles sont maintenant. J'aurai
besoin de savoir comment les choses françaises d'aujourd'hui changeront dans le futur aussi. Dans
le futur, je vois le français après le GHP comme la clé d'un monde d'opportunités. Il y a quatre ans,
j'ai visité la France. C'était mon voyage favori de tous les temps, et je me souviens bien du pays. et
j'ai développé ma tête. C'était très amusant, et beaucoup de fois j'aidais ma famille avec les signes,
les menues, et où tout le monde achetait du vin. C'était inestimable, mais je pense que le GHP
peut aussi m'aider dans mes expériences. Le GHP représente pour moi l'opportunité de faire de
ces aspirations d' apprendre une réalité. Il m'aidera à rencontrer d'autres passionnés de la langue
et de la culture, et d'apprendre de manière collaborative et inspirante. A la fin, apprendre avec les
GHP améliorerait mes aspirations futures, et satisfait mon désir de toujours aller de l'avant dans
apprendre.
