What is JAMB?
JAMB is the acronym for the Joint
Admissions and Matriculation Board, a
Nigerian government agency that
conducts the Unified Tertiary
Matriculation Examination (UTME) and
the Direct Entry (DE) examination for
candidates seeking admission into
various tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
The UTME is for candidates who have
completed their secondary school
education, while the DE is for candidates
with a diploma, NCE, or equivalent
qualification.

JAMB Registration
Requirements
2025/2026
If you want to register for JAMB 2025,
you need to meet the following
requirements:

NIMC mobile app. You will need
your NIN to create your JAMB

JAMB Profile Code: This is a 10-
digit number that is generated by
JAMB after you send your NIN to
55019 or 66019 as a text

registration at any accredited CBT
center. The generation of your
JAMB profile code will cost you
N50.

and active phone number to
create your JAMB profile and to
receive important information from
JAMB. You should use the same
phone number throughout the
registration process and the
examination period.
Email Address: You need a valid
and functional email address to
create your JAMB profile and to
access your JAMB portal. You
should use the same email
address throughout the
registration process and the
admission period.
O’level/A’level Result: You need
to have your O’level or A’level
result ready before you register for
JAMB. You can use either WAEC,
NECO, NABTEB, or GCE result.
You can also register with awaiting

However, you must upload your
result on the JAMB portal before
admission.
JAMB ePIN: This is a unique code
that you need to pay for and
obtain from any of the authorized
channels, such as banks, online
payment platforms, USSD codes,
etc. The ePIN costs N3,500 and it
is valid for one registration only.
You will also need to pay N1500
for the examination fee, N1500 for
the optional Mock-UTME (if
applicable), and N700 for the
registration fee. The total cost of
JAMB registration is N5,200,
including the ePIN, examination
fee, optional Mock-UTME, and
registration fee.

that you have all these requirements
before you start your registration
process.

JAMB Registration
Fees 2025/2026
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation
Board (JAMB) has announced the
registration fees for the 2025/2026
Unified Tertiary Matriculation
Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry
(DE). As part of the registration process,
candidates are required to pay a total of
N3500 for the e-PIN. Additionally, there
are other associated fees, including
N700 for registration, N1500 as
examination fees, and N1500 for the
optional Mock-UTME at privately-owned
centres.

It is noteworthy that the registration fee

of N700, originally meant to be paid
directly to Computer-Based Test (CBT)
centres by candidates, will now be
collected by JAMB. Furthermore, the
Board will also collect N1500 on behalf of
CBT centres, comprising the cost of
setting the main UTME and the optional
Mock-UTME.

These fees play a crucial role in

facilitating the smooth conduct of the
examination and are remitted to
partnering centres on a weekly basis.
Aspiring candidates are advised to take
note of these fees and ensure timely
payment to complete their registration
for the upcoming 2025/2026 UTME and
DE.
