GREETINGS
A. Reviewing yesterday’s lesson
or Presenting the new lesson Good morning class!

PRAYER

Before we start, kindly stand for our opening prayer..Regine please lead the
prayer
-Regine: Almighty Father, we praise and thank you for this day. Watch over us
we go anout our work and studies. Help us in every way so that we may
become the children you want us to be, Amen.

Before you seat, kindly arrange your chairs and pick up the pieces of paper
under your chair.

As we go on to our formal and very interesting discussion I want you to know
first that we have an rules that should be followed:

1. Sit properly
2. Listen and participate to the discussion
3. Raised your hand if you want to answer, ask question and clarification.
4. Respect your classmates and also your teachers.

Use a range of teaching strategies that enhance learner achievement literacy and
numeracy skills. (D1-I3)
Now, Im going to read a short fairytale story entitled “ Toothfairy”
But before that lets unluck some difficulties but with a twist. Who among you
can tell me the four fundamental operations that we can use in solving
numbers? This time, we are going to solve numbers using these operations and
these can help us to unlock the meaning of the following words that paste on
the board.

Snuggled- 12/2=6 There are 6 letters in it. (settle)


Muttered- 4+1+2=7 There are 7 letters in it. (whisper)
Drooped- 7x2=14 There are 14 letters in it. (bend or hang down)
Fluttered- 15-2-13 There are 13 letters in it. (to move in quick)
Grin- 5x2=10 There are 10 letters in it. (broad smile)

Lets recall the standards to be followed when listening to a story.

2. Do not speak when somebody is talking
3. Understand the story

4. Why did you think the fairy took jenny’s tooth?
-To make a pearl for the queen’s necklace
5. Was the story is real? What made it so?
- No, because fairies don’t exist in real life. It is just a make-believe.

D. Discussing new concepts and Class from the story I read let us analyze if the sentence or scenario shows reality

There was a nght and day - During daytime we will see the sun that
gives us heat and light, clouds that made of water droplet which forned when air is
heated by the sun, and rainbow that can be seen when the sun shines through the
falling rain. While during nightime we will see the moon the second brightest object
in the sky after the sun, stars a very large ball of bright glowing hot matter in the sky
and they are found in huge groups called constellation and also the clouds we can
also see them during at night.

- Butterflies are beautiful insects and develop through a process


calles Metamorposis. In real life butterfly is made up four parts: it started being an
egg to larva (caterpillar) to pupa( chrysalis) until it become an adult or become
beautiful butterfly
Eating too much of junkfoods can affect to our health

- Three times a day after eating a meal
The proper tooth brushing and flossing is at least twice a day and always before
sleeping

If you saw a poor boy who lend some foods did you give him a food or not?
- I give him a food

3. A young boy who watering plants.

Did you water your plants everyday?


- Yes maam
Very good , we need to water our plants everyday because plants roots absorb
water because it is needed in producing its own food

4. A school boy walking bound to his school.

When you going to your school how far did you walk going to your school?
- (The answer is vary)

As you can see all of that picture show the situation that happen in real life.

Can you give another example that shows reality or it happen in real life in a
sentence.

Now since we already know what is reality, now let us proceed in fantasy.

What is Fantasy

Fantasy refers to situations that are magical or make believe and could not happen
in real life. It refers to those that are unnatural that they can only happen in one
imagination.

Examples: Darna can fight millions of enemies.

You can time travel

Based on the picture you match earlier what pictures did you think shows fantasy?

( The students will be pointing out)

1. A fairy who flit about, leaving trails of glittering dust in their wake, while a gentle
breeze carries the sweet scent of magic through the air
2. A witch who make a spell and fly with her broom
3. A beautiful Mermaid with her colorful tail.
Did you believe in man feel inlove with the mermaid?

4. A lush, enchanted forest or enchanted house where the fairies live.

As you can see all of that picture show the situation that are magical or make
believe and could not happen in real life.

F. Developing mastery (Leads to Now, class since we are already distinguish reality from fantasy, we will have an
Formative Assessment 3) activty.

Instructions: The learners will be grouped into three (3) teams, each team will be
given an assigned task. Each team will pick their task in a box and present and
discuss their works in front.

Establish safe and secure learning environments to enhance learning through the
consistent implementation of policies, guidelines and procedures. (D2-I7)

Group Task:

Draw me - Draw or illustrate an character or events that shows Reality and


fantasy and share your work to the class.
Sing it - Compose a song about your fantasies in life. All the members will give
their fantasy in life and you will put that in a song. Together with your group you will
sing it in front of the class
Acting Out- Think of events that show reality and fantasy and together with you
group make a role play of it and perform it in front of the class.
