Bonded Asbestos Removal

This course is for people who work with or intend to work with Bonded Asbestos. It gives you a good grounding in Bonded Asbestos removal, which is required by the National Occupational Health and Safety Commissions code of practices. The Bonded Asbestos Removal (Construction) Course is for anyone who is working with, or who is intending to work with Bonded Asbestos sheeting. By completing this Course the student should achieve a high degree of safety consciousness for working in the Bonded Asbestos removal industry, so that they may try to achieve the best possible protection against inhaling asbestos fibres, both for themselves and for others in the vicinity of the removal area.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. Assessment Outcomes: Successful participants will be issued with a TAFE Statement. This program is WorkCover recognised and you can earn 8 CPD points by undertaking this training. IMPORTANT: If you require to remove, repair or disturb more than 10 square metres of bonded asbestos material such as fibro, corrugated cement sheeting and asbestos cement pipes, you will be required to undertake the Bonded Asbestos Nominated Supervisor course and apply for a Bonded Asbestos (AD1-B) Licence.
