Hello everybody!

Now it's time for you to do the task for this week. Read the instructions below. Remember that
if you need to review a topic, you can always check the course material as many times as you
need. Keep in mind that you have to present this task during week 8.

1. Learning Outcome

Through this activity, students ask for and give information about life experiences and
achievements using the grammar and vocabulary learned in Weeks 6 to 8. 2.

Description

• Step 1: Collaborative work (get into pairs or groups of three).

• Step 2: Check this week’s study material and your sessions’ notes.

• Step 3: Prepare a 4 minute dialogue with your partner(s).

Situation: Imagine you and your partner(s) are famous TV journalist. You are going to
interview a famous personality. It could be an actor/actress, a sportsman/sportswoman or a
famous singer. Your classmate is the celebrity. Ask and answer questions about his/her life
experiences and achievements. Tell about things you have already accomplished and about
things you have not accomplished yet. Ask follow-up questions about how long he/she has
done something.

Content:

• Life experiences vocabulary.

• Life changing events vocabulary.

• Colocations for achievements vocabulary.

• Present perfect in affirmative and negative forms (already/yet, since/for).

• Past simple in affirmative and negative forms.

• Linkers: and, however, on the other hand, in addition.

• Step 4:

• Practice the presentation of your story with your partner(s) paying attention to
the pronunciation and intonation.

• Remember to transmit your personal emotions as if you were in a real

situation.
 • Step 5: Once you are ready, record yourself using multimedia and upload it to the
learning platform or upload your video on Youtube /Drive and share the link in a
Word format in the learning platform.

• Step 6: Use the following structure:

• Cover: Your names and last names must be there. Include your photos.
There are 2 options to do it: (Choose one).

o Option 1: Insert the cover in your video if you record it on the virtual
platform.

o Option 2: Insert the cover in a Word format with the YouTube

link/Drive link.

• Deadline: Sunday of Week 8

5. Assessment criteria

Carefully review the rubric that will be used to evaluate your performance in this activity. You
can find the rubric on the learning virtual platform. Make sure you read it in advance so that
you are familiar with all the components and can comply with them effectively. This will help
you reach the best possible outcome in your performance.
