Improved Mental Health
Physical activity can improve
mental health by decreasing
and preventing conditions such
as anxiety and depression, as
well as improving mood and
other aspects of well-being.
Examples:
EXERCISE ROUTINE
BALANCED DIET
MINDFULNESS AND
RELAXATION TECHNIQUES
CONSISTENT SLEEP
PATTERNS
WEIGHT
MANAGEMENT
Combining exercise with a healthy diet
is a more effective way to lose weight
than depending on calorie restriction
alone. Exercise can prevent or even
reverse the effects of certain diseases.
Exercise lowers blood pressure and
cholesterol, which may prevent a heart
attack.
EXAMPLES
AEROBIC
WEIGHT TRAINING
YOGA
Stronger
Immune System
Physical activity may help flush
bacteria out of the lungs and
airways. This may reduce your
chance of getting a cold, flu, or other
illness.
Exercise causes changes in
antibodies and white blood cells
(WBCs).

HEALTH RELATED
components focus on factors that
promote good health and prevent
the onset of disease and problems
associated with an activity. The four
components are described as
follows:
HEALTH RELATED
FITNESS
• Cardio- Vascular Endurance • Flexibility
- is how well your heart and lungs can - activities that improve the ability of a
supply the oxygen you need while you joint to maintain the movement
exercise at medium to high intensity. necessary for carrying out daily tasks and
physical activity.
• Muscular Strength
- is the amount of force you can put out
• Body Composition
or the amount of weight you can lift.
- is the ratio of body fat to lean body
• Muscular Endurance mase (including water, bones, muscles,
- is the ability of a muscle to and connective tissues). and Body Mass
make repeated contractions over Index (BMI) are one of the part of body
a period of time composition.
SKILL RELATED
includes training to improve
speed, agility, balance,
coordination, power, and
reaction time. These are usually
used to help athletes improve
performance for their particular
sport or activity. these are the
components:
SPEED
ability to perform a movement or cover a
distance in a short period of time.
Speed relates to power, as you have already
learnt, and relates to the force and the mass of
the object the force has acted upon.
SPEED:
POWER
ability to transfer energy into
force at a fast rate.
Power is considered to be a
combination of strength and
speed.
POWER:
coordination
the ability to use the senses
with the body parts perform
motor tasks smoothly and
accurately. Also the ability to
do what you think.
COORDINATION:
balance
the ability to distribute your
weight in a way that lets you
stand or move without falling,
or recover if you trip.
BALANCE:
agility
the ability to rapidly change
body direction, accelerate, or
decelerate. It is influenced by
balance, strength,
coordination, and skill level.
AGILITY:
reaction time
the amount of time that
takes places between when
we perceive something to
when we respond to it. It is
the ability to detect, process,
and respond to a stimulus.
REACTION
TIME:

FITNESS TEST
WHAT IS A FITNESS TEST?
-The fitness test, also known as a fitness assessment,
measures and tracks a person's general health and
physical fitness level. The exams evaluate the five
components of physical fitness compose of

endurance, flexibility, and body composition.
