Corrosion Test

Work Requested Perform JDKK 104 Corrosion Test on supplied lot of 10mm Hex Head 65mm long.

APP identifications:

Perform JDKK 104 corrosion Test Sequence:

A) Photo as received

B) JDKK 103 drop test, 10 times Photograph

C) JDKK 104 Corrosion exposure, (60 fasteners 12 chemicals.) Power wash then photograph after
exposure.

Conclusion:
Fasteners have acceptable performance within JDKK 104 test sequence.

Recommendation:

Discussion:
Fasteners were submitted for review of performance under JDKK 104 test sequence. Fasteners
were subjected to a handling damage sequence, then exposed to 12 different Agricultural
Chemicals for 48 hours. Each group of fasteners was exposed to just one of the 12 chemicals.
Corrosion performance was reviewed after the chemical exposure. All fasteners have acceptable
performance, no visible degradation or corrosion products were found.
