Viking malt has a rich European history dating back five generations
to 1883. They are the largest producer of roasted specialty malt in the

Briess is a true American maltster with a long history of making innovative malts.
Most of Briess malts come from the Bighorn Basin in Wyoming, an area that
produces some of the highest quality barley in the world. Barley grown in this area
is irrigated rather than relying on Mother Nature for rain, allowing Briess to produce
very consistent malt from year to year. With very little rain falling on the barley head,
which darkens it, Briess can produce extremely light-colored malt. Try Briess Pilsner
