Notice about the pattern
- I use USA terms for this pattern
-This pattern includes instructions for:
* The basic doll
* The hat
I explain How to make the stitch: reverse single crochet
-Finished basic doll is approximately 14 cm/ 5,5 " tall if you use a 2mm crochet hook.
-The doll works from the bottom up.
- I insert a cardboard disc into the dress for a flat side.
- You can use all type of yarn you want. Be careful to use the adapted crochet hook's size.
-You can use a smaller hook than recommended to be sure your work is tight.

MATERIALS ABBREVIATIONS
- 2mm crochet hook - st = stitch(es)
-150 gr/ 125 m (One ball) of grey, antique pink, white, sand - ch = chain
Cotton yarn. - sl st = slip stitch
Sunny/Cheval Blanc (150gr=125m/1,76oz= 136yds) - Ref - sc = single crochet
056, 059, 011, 071 - reverse sc = reverse single crochet
- sewing needles - hdc = half double crochet
- Yarn neddle - dc = double crochet
- sewing thread (to sew embellishment). - dec = decrease (2sc together)
-Scissors - inc = increase (2sc in one stitch)
- Fiberfill for stuffing - rep = repeat
- 2 black eyes or 2 black beads - 3 mm diameter - tog = together
-Optional: felted balls , jewells, Felted ball, beads, pearl - rnd = round
to embellish hat and dress. -FO = finish off

How to make invisible decrease with the Right side facing outwards...
Insert Hook into FRONT loops only of the next 2 sts. / Yarn over, pull throught 2 loops on the hook. / Yarn over, pull
throught final 2 loops on the hook.

How to change color ...
Leave the last single crochet stitch unfinished.
Grab the new color of yarn with your crochet
hook.
Pull up a loop with the new color.
Continue by crocheting with the new color.
HOW TO MAKE REVERSE SINGLE CROCHET.
The stitch is the same as the single crochet but you work from left to
right.
* Insert the hook through the 2 loops of the previous stitch (first stitch to
the right).
* Yarn over and pull the yarn through the stitch.
*Yarn over and pull the yarn through the 2 loops on the hook.

BEFORE TO START:
-Works in continuous spiral and don't join the rounds
-Works in the back loops only on the rnd 10,11,17, 22 and 27. The front loops will be used to crochet ruffles around the dress.
-Rnd 10: Crochet hdc and not sc
-Change the color of the yarn when you crocheted the last stitch of the previous round and start the new round with new color.
-Insert a cardboard disc in the dress for a flat side when the rnd 21 is completed.
-Measure the disc from the center of the magic ring to the rnd 9.
-Stuff firmly the dress before to start the body.

Rnd 27. 1sc, 1 dec, [2sc, dec] x5, 1 sc (in back loops only) 18 sts

Rnd 29/31 1sc in each st around 12 sts
Rnd 32. [1sc, inc] x6 18 sts
Rnd 33. 1sc in each st around 18 sts

Don't cut the yarn and continue with the head...
Stuff firmly the body .
THE HEAD
Rnd 36. 1sc in each st around 6sts
Rnd 37. [inc] x 6 12 sts
Rnd 38. [inc] x12 24 sts
Rnd 39. [3sc, inc] x6 30 sts
Rnd 40/45. 1sc in each st around 30 sts
Rnd 46. [3sc, dec] x6 24 sts
Rnd 47. 1sc, 1 dec, [2sc, dec] x5, 1 sc 18 sts
Rnd 48. [1sc, dec] x6 12 sts
Rnd 49. [dec] x6 6 sts
* Continue with 1 or 2 dec to close the hole.
*FO and sew the lasts sts tog; weave in loose ends.
Stuff firmly the dress and the body . I used the tips of
the scissors to guide the polyfil into the body and the neck.
YOU ARE GOING TO ADD RUFFLES AROUND THE DRESS...
Stitches n°1 for ruffles around the dress: (doll's head down )
-Insert your hook in the front loops, * ch 3, sc in the next loop*
repeat from * to end, sl st in the first front loop to join the round.
-Cut the yarn, come out the thread a few stitches away , tie a knot
and burry the thread in the dress.
Repeat for the other ruffles.

Stitches n°2 for ruffles (doll's head up)
-Insert your hook in the front loop, ch3 (count as first dc), 4dc
in the same loop, 1sc in the next loop. * 5dc in the next loop,
1sc in the next loop*
Repeat from * to end, sl st in the first ch of the ch3 to join the
round.
Cut the yarn, come out the thread a few stitches away, tie a
knot and burry the thread in the dress.
Repeat these stitches if you want other similar ruffles.
!!! Pictures Below show you how to make ruffles. Crochet
them directly in the front loops on the dress !!!

ARMS (x 2) (With sand cotton yarn)
CH 12
Crochet 12 sc around the chain fondation, sc in the last ch.
Cut the yarn and leave an 4 inch thread tail to sew them at the rnd 34

THE HAT
White cotton yarn
WHITH ANTIQUE PINK COTTON YARN Crochet a ruffle on the rnd 12 in the front loops .
Rnd 1. 6 sc in magic ring 6 sts (Picture below)
Rnd 2. [inc] x 6 12 sts
-Insert your hook in the front loops,
Rnd 3. [1sc, inc] x6 18 sts
* ch 3, sc in the next loop*
Rnd 4. 1sc, 1 inc, [2sc, inc] x5 , 1 sc 24 sts
repeat from * to end,
Rnd 5. [3sc, inc] x6 30 sts
sl st in the first front loop to join the round.
Rnd 6/11. 1sc in each st around 30 sts
CHANGE COLOR AND USE GREY COTTON YARN
Rnd 12. 1sc in each st around (in back loops only) 30 sts
Rnd 13. 1sc in each st around 30 sts
Rnd 14. Don't turn, Ch 1, 1 reverse sc in each st around 30 sts
THE CREAM (Sand cotton yarn):
* Ch 30
*Crochet 3 hdc in the third ch from the hook
4 hdc in the next 13 ch
4dc in the next 13 ch
2dc,1hdc, 1sc in the last ch.
Place the cream on the top of the hat and
sew it in place in a spiral-shape.

Don't forget to add the eyes or sew closed eyes.
Hat and dress can be embellished with glass pearl beads, satin flowers, ribbon...etc Let your imagination run free
and explore your creativity. I add a felted ball and a pearl pin to embelisshed the hat.
