1. Who is a system analyst?

A system analyst is a professional who reviews and analyzes an organization’s current computer systems
and procedures and finds a way to improve on them or design and implement new systems and
procedures to improve the productivity, efficiency, and overall performance of the organization.

2. What are the roles of a system analyst?

A system analyst works on:

a.) Understanding the needs of the organization at the moment

b.) They design solutions that could involve software,hardware or a combination of both to meet the
needs of the organization.

c.) They also oversee the implementation process of the design to ensure that it stays on track.

d.) They recommend and implement upgrades to existing systems

e.) Once a system is implemented they can conduct training sessions to help users get comfortable with
the new technology

3. What are the qualities of a system analyst?

A system should be :

a.) An Analytical thinker

b.) He/she should possess adequate problem solving skills

c.) He/she should have excellent communication skills

d.) He/she must be able to listen attentively to user needs and concerns

e.) He/she must have an understanding of systems

Interpersonal
