2. Amcndment of section 2 of the Public Procuremenl rod

Section 2 ofthe Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act
in this Act rcferred to as the principal Act is amended-

(a) in subsection ( I ) (b) by inserting immediately after the

Scction 2l of thc principal Act is amended by inscnrng immediately
after suhsection ( I ). the follosing new subsection-

"( la) Thc Authotity shall cause to be prepared and suhmrned


to the Auditor General and the Accounlant General. for
each financial ycar. uithin two months aflcr the cnd ofthe
linancial year. the stalemcnt ofaccounts ofthe Authorrty."

For section 22 of the pnncipal Act. there is substiruted thc follouing-

(l ) Thc Aulhority shall. as soon as is practrcable and not
later lhan nine months after the end ofeach financial year. submit

duration of the suspension.

(7) The Accounting Ollicer shall. within ten da;"s of


receipt of a complarnl. make and communicate a decision. in
writing. addressed to lhe biddcr who makes the complaint and
which shall indrcate thc reasons for the decision takcn and the
corrcctive measurc to tre talen. ifany.

(E ) Where an Accounrrng Olhcer does not makc a decision
