I. Objectives:
1. Cognitive: Learners will apply their understanding of Ŝabāhun Nūr and
Masāul Khair in real-life outdoor scenarios.
2. Affective: Learners will recognize the social and cultural significance of
these greetings more interactively and experientially.
3. Behavioral: Learners will practice using Ŝabāhun Nūr and Masāul Khair
appropriately in different times of the day.
II. Content:
 Topic: Polite Greetings in Islam: Ŝabāhun Nūr and Masāul Khair
 Key Vocabulary:
 Ŝabāhun Nūr (‫)صباح النور‬: Good Morning
 Masāul Khair (‫)مساء الخير‬: Good Evening
Concept: Understanding the importance of greeting people appropriately based
on the time of day.

1. Textbook: Arabic Language Textbook for Grade 1
2. Storybook: A storybook or short story featuring characters using
Islamic greetings in daily activities.
3. Visual Aids: Flashcards with greetings and their meanings, pictures
showing morning and evening scenarios.
4. Supplementary Materials: Audio recordings of the greetings, props
for role-playing.
A. Preliminary Activities:
1. Drill:
 Activity: Interactive Greeting Practice
 Method: Use a greeting chant where students repeat Ŝabāhun
Nūr and Masāul Khair in unison. Accompany this with actions like
raising hands for morning and waving for evening. Reinforce the
meanings with visual flashcards.
2. Review:
 Activity: Greeting Chart
 Method: Create a large chart on the board with columns for
morning and evening. Have students come up and place flashcards
with Ŝabāhun Nūr and Masāul Khair under the correct time of day.
Discuss why each greeting fits the time of day.
3. Motivation:
 Activity: role-play where characters use Ŝabāhun Nūr and Masāul
Khair in different scenarios.
 Ask learners to guess the time of day based on the greeting used.

B. Developmental Activities:

Activity: Greeting Role-PlayŜabāhun Nūr

practice using Ŝabāhun Nūr and Masāul Khair in their play.
Provide guidance and feedback on their use of the greetings.
Activity: Greeting Map
 Create a concept map on the board with "Greeting" at the
center. Branch out into “Morning” and “Evening,” then add
Ŝabāhun Nūr and Masāul Khair under each. Discuss how each
greeting fits into the map and its significance.

2. Performing the Activity (Differentiated Instruction):


 Activity: Group Reflection

 Have students share their experiences of using
Ŝabāhun Nūr and Masāul Khair in their own lives.
 Discuss how using these greetings affected their
interactions with others.

experiences or observations about using Ŝabāhun Nūr and
Masāul Khair in their daily lives.

4. Summarizing the Lesson:

 Method: Provide a set of cards with different times of the day
and greetings. Students will sort the cards into morning and
evening categories and match them with Ŝabāhun Nūr and
Masāul Khair.
C. Assessment:
Direction: Learners will demonstrate their understanding by using
Ŝabāhun Nūr and Masāul Khair in context through a role-play activity.

 Greeting: Ŝabāhun Nūr (Good morning) / Masāul Khair (Good


evening)
 Response: "Good morning" / "Good evening"
 Context: Students will perform role-plays for different times of
the day and use the appropriate greeting in context. Evaluate
their usage based on correctness and appropriateness.
