LOCATION
DECISION
1
Availability of facilities
All six factories of Nestlé are located at industrial
park. This factor has increased the number of
facilities in the area and reduced transportation
costs to easily transport raw materials and finished
products.
2
Labour supply
Easy to hire skilled workers and Nestlé does not have
to spend a lot of costs to hire new workers. The
workers are most likely have already possessed some
important skills to do their job.

Proximity to customers
Trouble-free to transport their products as the
factories are located in industrial park. Customers
can easily find and buy their products. Their shelf life

MAINTAIN
QUALITY
1. Raw Materials
Nestle’s Quality Management System is
starting from the farm. They have a long
history of working with the farmers to help
them to improve the quality of their milk by
introducing special quality control. For
example, cooling and automated milking
systems.
2. Design
Quality is built into all of the products
according to the consumers'
requirements. This process is carried out
through the R&D network of Nestlé.
3. Good Manufacturing Practices
Quality is built-in during the development of
all the products according to the needs of
the consumers. Nestle applies
internationally recognized Good
Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure
quality and food safety.
