STATEMENT OF PURPSOE (MASTER OF SCIENCE IN AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION)
My name is Harbinder Singh and I am applying for Master of Science in Agricultural Education, a master
program from Montana State University, United States of America. A career in agricultural field requires
a perfect knowledge and techniques and I can gain only by pursuing Master of Agricultural Education.
My desire for both education and agriculture makes obtaining a Master's in Agricultural Education an
appealing option for me. I have a strong desire to advance sustainable agriculture techniques, and I
think that stimulating innovation and raising standards in the industry require education. I want to help
create instructional strategies and curricula that will empower the next generation of agricultural
professionals by acquiring advanced knowledge and pedagogical abilities. This degree will help me tackle
complicated agricultural difficulties and ultimately promote a more sustainable and educated approach
to land management and food production. It will also improve my capacity to inspire and teach others.
Besides that I will have in hand on learning of agricultural economics, animal and range sciences, land
resources and environmental sciences, plant sciences and plant sciences, veterinary molecular biology
and plant pathology, and veterinary molecular biology. I will also specialize in areas such as adult
education, educational administration, career education, curriculum coordination.
My main aim to pursue this course is to make people more aware about organic farming rather than
doing adulterated agriculture. I have pursued my graduation in Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from
I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University with 6.17 CGPA in 2020. After completing my graduation, I started
educating pupils about science as I worked as a Science teacher at Kalgidhar Public High School from 14 th
April, 2020 to 31 March, 2024
To being with my educational history, I did my matriculation in 2013 with 80% under Punjab School
Education Board. I cleared my senior secondary education in the field of Science (medical) under Punjab
School education Board with 82% after that I took a step towards my passion of agriculture and I did my
bachelor of science in agriculture from I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University with 6.17 CGPA in 2020.
To enter in an international country, it is essential to know the language which will help me to
communicate with others and to keep this in mind; I appeared for Pearson Test of English on 06 th July,
2024 and I scored overall 55 and in other modules I scored, Listening-54, Reading-54, Speaking-59,
Writing-58.

learning are what drew me in. My goal to acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise is
aligned with MSU's strong emphasis on merging research with practical application. The university offers

is a great option for me to pursue my academic and professional objectives because it offers me the

by providing a favorable setting for both professional and personal development.
I have a special opportunity to study in the USA because of its top-notch universities, varied academic
offerings, and state-of-the-art research facilities. A wealth of resources, knowledge, and networking
opportunities are available at some of the most esteemed universities in the United States, which are
essential for furthering my academic and professional goals. I will be exposed to a range of viewpoints
and cutting-edge strategies in this dynamic and multicultural setting, which will improve my educational
experience and personal development. My academic and professional goals are well-aligned with the
USA's emphasis on practical, hands-on learning and research and development, which makes it the right
place for me to continue my education.
India is a country where agricultural plays a crucial role and the emphasis on agriculture. There are
several of good job options in India for someone with a Master of Science in Agriculture. As an
agronomic, I could counsel farmers on soil health and crop management to raise yields and promote
sustainability. Jobs in agricultural research and development with governmental organizations, academic
institutions, or commercial businesses are also feasible. Here, I can help find creative solutions for
problems like insect management, drought tolerance, and crop enhancement. Furthermore, my
positions in agricultural extension services give me the chance to instruct and assist farmers in putting
innovative methods and technology into practice. Working with NGOs or government agencies to
develop and carry out policies that affect the agriculture industry is one way to take advantage of
opportunities in agricultural policy and planning. Last but not least, opportunities exist in creating and
overseeing technology-driven solutions and I can get the pay ranging from 3 LPA to 12 LPA.
I am optimistic that admission committee of the university will allow me to be the part of their
esteemed campus.
