integrating the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct into business culture.

towards ensuring our business ventures continue to be defined by socially responsible
purchasing practices.

As you might well be aware, our company participates in the amfori Business Social
Compliance Initiative (BSCI). This initiative, which was launched in 2018 by the amfori

demands for transparent and improved working conditions in global supply chains. It unites
more than 1,300 companies from around the world, whose activities range from retail to

As an amfori BSCI Participant, our company is committed to the values and


principles set out in the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct and to meeting, within our sphere of
influence and our responsibility to respect human rights. In this regard, it remains
fundamental to our company’s approach to integrate the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct, when
doing business with all partners regardless of where they sourced in the world.

The amfori BSCI Code of Conduct version 1/2014 took effect on 1 January, 2014,
alongside capacity building activities worldwide, which continue to aim at ensuring that the
new practical implications are fully understood. For this reason, I would like to share with
you the corresponding official amfori BSCI documents:

o amfori BSCI Code of Conduct – English.


o amfori BSCI Terms of Implementation for Business Partners.
o amfori BSCI Reference: Compilation of International Standards relevant for the
implementation of the Code such as ILO Conventions and Recommendations,
which are most accepted frameworks for responsible business enterprises.
o amfori BSCI Glossary, which is a set of definitions applicable in the context of the
BSCI.

documentation in full and to pay particular attention to the amfori BSCI Terms of
Implementation for Business Partners.

If you have received this letter, it means that your company is not part of the
amfori BSCI monitoring process. We encourage the relevant representative of your senior
management to sign and return to us the Terms of Implementation to, like us, demonstrate a
willingness to abide by, and commit to, the amfori BSCI values and principles.

We hold the principles and values of the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct in high regard
and we integrate them as part of our sourcing practices and regard them as a prerequisite for
further developing our business relationships.
