Technical Data Sheet

®
Rhenodiv BO-7665-1 Release agents

Function Batch-off compound release agent used to prevent the adhesion of uncured
rubber and milled sheets.

Product description Composition: combination of inorganic fillers,

calciumstearat and surface active
substances

Appearance: greyish powder

Density, 20 °C: approx. 1.6 g/cm ³

Bulk density: approx. 0.53 kg/l

Ash Content: approx. 60 %

pH, 20 °C (5 %): 9.2 - 11.2

Solubility: disperses in water

Physiological properties: see safety data sheet

Use
Mode of action: Rhenodiv BO-7665-1 forms a thin, flexible film on the surface of milled sheets.
The film has good release properties and prevents the formation of dust, which
means that it does not cause any problems during subsequent processing.
Rhenodiv BO-7665-1 only forms slight, soft-deposits on the equipment and
these are easily removed. The product has anti-corrosive properties.

For standard compounds, we recommend a concentration of approx. 2.5 % and

for milled NR compounds without carbon black and for low-viscosity butyl
compounds a concentration of 3 - 4 %. The dispersion should be produced by
vigorous stirring with water. Warm water speeds the dispersion process. The
stirring time should be at least 30 minutes. The dispersion is largely stable and
does not form sediment. Slight separation which may occur can be retitled by
gentle stirring. There is no troublesome foam formation.

Processing: The product is ideally used in a batch off equipment as a dispersion in regular
or demineralized water. Preparation of the dispersion should be done in a
seperate preparation tank. The powder should be added to the water and the
slurry should be dispersed with a stirrer for at least 30 min. The warmer the
water the faster the material is dispersed.

Dosage: For regular compounds based on diene rubbers: 2.0 - 3.0 % dispersion in
water, for masticated NR or soft butyl compounds: 3.0 - 4.0 % dispersion in
water.
