PANIQUI ABANDONED CONVENTION CENTER


Location: Lot 7-B MacArthur Hwy, Paniqui, Tarlac
Approximately 38,222 SQM including the open space.

STRENGTH
 Along the MacArthur Hwy (Main Road).
 Transportation, electric system, communication signals availability.
 Have access to Transport loading and unloading zone, pedestrian.
 Near urbanized/ civilized area, commercial, medical and academic institution and Government facilities.
 Adaptive reuse.
WEAKNESSES
 No drainage seen in Google Map.
 NOAH Flood hazard level: LOW to MEDIUM in the surrounding area of the structure.
 Not sure if the Lot Size is enough for the project if the structure itself will be use or if it needs expansion
to surrounding open space.
 Has no official bearings (could be confirmed to officials).
 No possible floor plans available (could be confirmed to officials).
 No original photo when the structure was still used.

OPPORTUNITIES
 Could create a pioneer for a regional research institution in the Pampanga capital.
 Enhances the Knowledge Exchange to Academic Institutions near the Area.
 Can promote Significance of Conservation and other objectives of the Project.
 Can make a partnership related to the Architectural Heritage that would expand the research scope and
impact.
 Can contribute technological advancements for presenting architectural heritages in Central Luzon.
 Would create easy accessibility of Kapampangan to knowledge about architectural heritages in Central
Luzon.
 Enhances the Social/ Economic Development of Paniqui, Tarlac.

THREATS
 Can create a downgrade interest as time goes by (But should be discussed by the group TO PREVENT).
 Operational budgets could be Unstable (should be discussed by the group).
 Competitions to museums.
 Environmental risk.
 Regulatory Changes or government policies can impact the institution.
