INACTIVE VOLCANOES DESCRIPTION

Mount Batulao is an inactive stratovolcano in


the Calabarzon region of the Philippines,
located in northwest Batangas province along
its border with Cavite. It is a dissected andesitic
stratovolcano at the northwestern rim of the
Taal Caldera which began to form in the late
Pliocene period, about 3.4 million years ago.

Mount Balungao is an inactive volcano located
in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, on the island of
Luzon in the Philippines. Rising to a height of
382 metres (1,253 ft), it is located in the town of
Balungao, about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from the
town center. It is the main tourist attraction of
the town, along with the Balungao Hot and Cold
Mt. Balungao – PHILIPPINES Spring Resort nearby.
Mount Atimbia is a mountain in Laguna and
has an elevation of 654 metres. It stands at an
elevation of 654 meters (about 2145.67 ft). The
mountain is situated northeast of Mount
Mabilog and east of Kalisungan. It is found on
the Laguna Volcanic Field.

Mount Baya is a dormant volcano in the


municipality of Ganassi in Lanao del Sur
province, Philippines. The mountain has a peak
elevation of 1,484 meters (4,869 ft) rising from
a plateau of about 950 meters (3,120 ft). It is
located about 4 kilometers (2.5 mi) east of Lake
Dapao and about 4.5 kilometers (2.8 mi)
southwest of Lake Lanao.

Mount Abunug a dormant volcano in the
Philippines. It is located in the province of Leyte
and the Eastern Visayas region, in the south-
eastern part of the country, 600 kilometres (370
mi) southeast of the national capital Manila.
