smart eyewear, psychological monitoring gadgets, robot assistance during laparoscopic etc.
Advancement of Medical gadgets has evolved with newer technologies such Artificial
intelligence (AI), machine learning and visualization has improved with Immersive
technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and extended reality (XR).
Integrating AI into healthcare has the potential to transform patient care and disease
management, leading to improved outcomes and reduced costs. Various applications of AI in
healthcare includes predictive analytics, medical image analysis, drug discovery, and clinical
decision making, caregiver or virtual assistant via AI chatbot.

This hackathon is about AI based Affordable Medical device development hackathon to

explore medical device innovation for the final year students. Multidisciplinary teams are
formed from various streams such as computer science, medicine, design, electronics and
mechanical backgrounds students. Students can brainstorm new ideas, sketch concepts,
fabricate proof-of-concepts and present them to an expert jury panel. Each team is
mentored by a senior innovator or entrepreneur from industry or academician.
A 36 hours hackathon focuses on affordable medical device development
Inter-disciplinary teams to explore medical device innovation
The outcome shall be TRL 3/4 prototype of low cost solution for the medical problems
The hackathon leverages networking, team building, solutions to the complex problems
and bringing engineers, and medical practitioners at same platform
A beacon for fostering innovation, collaboration, and achieving technical excellence
