Course Description
The course research method designed to address definition, significance, principles and methods of research,
selection of research topics; research planning and research design; formulating objectives, data collection
methods; analysis, interpretation and presentation; drawing conclusions from data, comparative review of
cooperatives research and report writing.
Course Objectives
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
 Understand the role of cooperative/business research
 Differentiate the different types of research
 Identify and define research problem
 Prepare appropriate research design
 Know sampling design and the techniques involved
 Differentiate types of data and data gathering instrument
 Analyze and interpret data and prepare standard report
