I. Introduction
A. Background Information
Gender Stereotype is in our culture for a very long time now, it has both good
and bad impact in our lives, especially on each and everyone of us. According to
World Health Organization (WHO), ‘Gender’ refers to the characteristics of women,
men, girls, and boys that are socially constructed. Meanwhile, ‘Stereotype’ according
to Cambridge Dictionary, is a set idea that people have about what someone or
something is like, especially an idea that is wrong. ‘Gender Stereotype’ according to
United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights is a generalized view or
preconception about attributes, or characteristics that are or ought to be possessed by
women and men or the roles that are or should be performed by men and women.
B. Objectives of the Study
The goal of this study is to be an eye opener for everyone about the
importance of being aware about gender stereotypes, educate everyone that each and
everyone of us has different preferences and an individual should not get forced to do
something they do not want to do since the researchers noticed that there are a lot of
bad impacts that gender stereotypes give to individuals.
C. Significance of the Study
This study will be beneficial to the following:
a. Individuals
his study will enlighten everyone regardless of their gender that they
are free to do whatever they want. Thus, it can help every individual to
explore and know themselves better.

b. Feminists
This study might give new knowledge or suggestion to those
persons who fight for the equality of every individual that they can also
possibly use to advocate about gender roles and why is it toxic.
c. Society
This study will help our society to become less toxic of how toxic
it is already is. Thus, this will minimize problems that is related to
gender stereotypes in our society.
D. Review of Related Literature
The gender stereotyping of men and women has a profound impact on our
society. Due to the advances made in recent years to establish equality between the
sexes, society reflects fewer attitudes that support discrimination and inequality
between men and women. However, even though we are liberated in our beliefs and
attitudes, many of our actions are still influenced by gender stereotyping and
misconceptions about men and women that have been passed down through the
generations. In spite of their stated values, a surprising number of people today relate
to each other based on a gender stereotype. (Dr. Lisa Firestone, 2014)
II. Purpose
According to Institute of Physics, the assumptions we make about boys and girls
may be conscious or unconscious and can result in students being treated differently or
offered different opportunities based on their gender. This is why the researchers want to
address this issue because if no one will voice out, events that contempt gender equality
will continue to happen, and individuals will continue to have an unrealistic perception of
beliefs that can somehow dispel their interests.

III. Description
The researchers will educate everyone through advocacy campaign, because
according to Double the Donation, the goal of any advocacy campaign is, of course, to
make a change in your community (whether local, regional, or global). And with that, we
will create a change that will result into the betterment of our society.
IV. Support
There is no budget needed for this project to get published or materialized, the
only thing the researchers need is to speak up in front of individuals that is open-minded
and willing to learn about this issue.
