Pandas

Pandas are the large and obese animals. They can weigh more than 100 kg, so
if we look from a distance, the pandas are very similar to the giant puppets.
They are the animals that come from Western China and Tibet. Most of the
species came from the jungle of bamboo because basically, their food are bamboos.
They have two legs and two large hands. In addition to walking, the hands are also
used to take take the twigs and leaves of bamboo. Pandas commonly looking for food
in clustered with other pandas.
Commonly, the length of adult pandas are between 160 to 180 cm. Then, the
weight of them are usually between 80 to 125 kg. Pandas bodies' size are similar to
the black bears. However, pandas do not hibernate like a black bear. Pandas have
large heads, heavy bodies, rounded ears, and short tails. They walked like a human,
and as I said before, that they use their legs to stand and their hands used to reach for
the leaves and twigs of bamboo. They have a throat with a hard esophagus in order to
avoid their throat injury due to the consumption of bamboo. They also have a large
thumb to take the bamboo stems and leaves.
They look like a very cute animal with black adn white color. This is the thing
that makes the pandas to be the example of the best-selling dolls after bear. They have
thick hair and little greasy. The oil layer helps them protected from the wet climate.
Pandas can only run slowly because their bodles are so heavy. nevertheless , the
pandas are able to climb trees with hard and sharp clows,. They can climb trees very
easily.
We have known a little about the animals of pandas from the above general
description. You need to understand that it is not a cute animal. They are wild animals
so we must be careful when close to them.

Mangrove Trees
A Mangrove is tropical marine tree or shrub of the genus Rhizhopora.
Mangroves have special aerial roots and salt-filtering tap roots that enable them to
thrive in brackish water (brackish water is salty, but not as salty as sea water).
There are several species of mangrove trees found all over the world. Some
prefer more salinity, while others like to be very close to large fresh water source
(such as a river). Some prefer areas that are sheltered from waves. Some species have
their roots covered with sea water every day during high tide. Other species grow on
dry land, but are still part of the ecosystem.
Mangroves need to keep their trunk and leaves above the surface of water. Yet
they also need to be firmly attached to the ground so they are not moved by waves.
There are three types of mangrove roots that help in this process as follow, support
roots which directly pierce the soil. level-growing roots which twist upwards and
downwards, with the upward twists emerging on the water surface.Level growing
roots whose downward twist (sub-roots) appear on the water surface. Any part of a
root that appears above the water flows oxygen to the plant under water surface. As
the soil begins to build up, these roots produce additional roots that become embedded
in the soil

Tho Dingiso

The dingiso, also known as the bondegezou is an endangered, long-tailed


marsupial found only in mountain forests on the west of the island of New Guinea (in
Indonesia). It is a species of tree-kangaroo which are mammals native to Australia and
New Guinea that feed on leaves or other plant matter. It belongs to the macropodid
family with kangaroos, and carries its young in a pouch like most other marsupials.
Though sacred to the local Moni people, it is still threatened by hunting and habitat
loss.
The dingiso has a distinctive pattern of black and white fur, it has a white belly,
and a black head, back, and limbs. Unlike other tree kangaroos, it spends little time in
the trees. The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species states that the dingiso is mainly
terrestrial and "very docile".
The marsupial lives in sub-alpine forests in the Sudirman Range in Central
Papua and Highland Papua in Western New Guinea. It lives just below the tree line, at
elevations of metres ft). The species was first filmed for an episode of the BBC
documentary South Pacific TV series in 2009, after 11 days of searching with local
Moni tribesmen. According to the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, the dingiso
inhabits mossy forests and shrubland and is "found in rugged areas".

Two weeks ago, my family and I were in my grandpa's hometown. It is our annual
agenda every holiday at the end of Semester. Unfortunately, it was the rainy season
there.
My Family left from home at 07.15 in the morning and they arrived at 10.20 a.m
It rained almost every day there. We didn't have enough time to visit some tourist
places there because of the rain. We had not enough sunlight even to dry up our
laundry. As a result, we just stayed at home almost all day long.

Seeing the condition, we decided to make an interesting activity indoors to spend

Rafflesia Arnoldi

Rafflesia Arnoldi is known as the flower in the world, it can be found in


Bengkulu Sumatera. The name is derived from the British governor general, Sir
Thomas Stamford Rafflesia, who gave attention to the botanical garden in Bogor.
The Rafflesia Arnoldi consists of two part: the stick like-part which grow in the
middle and the pitals around and below it. It is unusual because of its large size. The
flower can be 1 meter in diameter and 1.40 meters in height.
The Rafflesia Arnoldi plant begins to flower in its tenth year. It blooms three or
four times a year. Before it begins to flower, the leaves and the stem become dry and
look dead but the main root in the ground is still alive. When it bloom, it has an
unpleasant smell with attract insect. But when they touch the bottom part, they die.
