At deoxidation of molten steel using silicon or aluminium appears an paradox. Namely, increasing concentration of deoxidizer
in the melt over some critical value results in increase of dissolved oxigen. Thermodynamical conditions for appearance of this
phenomenon has been discussed in detail.
