Group Discussion (Group of 6 students)
1.1 Topic Name: - Not Wearing Footwear in the House.
Moderator: Good morning, everyone. Today, our topic for discussion is "Not
wearing footwear in the house." It is a practice followed in many cultures, and we
will explore its advantages, disadvantages, and the cultural and hygienic aspects
related to it. Let us begin. Who would like to share their thoughts first?
Participant 4: I can see both sides of the argument. However, from a health
perspective, not wearing shoes indoors can prevent the spread of bacteria and
allergens that may be present in outdoor environments. It can reduce the risk of
allergies and respiratory issues, especially for those with sensitivities.

Activity 1
Participant 5: I think the decision to wear shoes indoors or not can depend on
cultural norms and personal preferences. Some people may feel more comfortable
and relaxed by keeping their shoes on, while others prefer the cleanliness and
comfort of barefoot or wearing slippers indoors.
Participant 6: I would like to add that it is not just about cleanliness but also
comfort. Walking barefoot or wearing comfortable indoor slippers allows the feet
to breathe and relax. It can also provide a sense of freedom and grounding when
we are at home.
Participant 3: I see the benefits of not wearing shoes indoors, especially in terms
of hygiene and health. Perhaps finding a balance between the cultural aspect and
individual preferences could be a solution. For example, providing disposable
shoe covers for guests who are uncomfortable taking off their shoes.
Moderator: Thank you, everyone, for sharing your perspectives. The practice of
not wearing footwear in the house has both hygienic and cultural aspects to
consider. It is important to strike a balance that suits individual preferences while
maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment.

Activity 1
Moderator: Good morning, everyone. Today, our topic for discussion is "Taking
a bath first thing in the morning." This is a common practice for many people,
and we will explore its advantages, disadvantages, and the personal and cultural
aspects related to it. Let us begin. Who would like to share their thoughts first?
Participant 4: I see the practicality in that, Participant 3. Some people may have
busy schedules in the morning, making it difficult to incorporate a bath into their
routine. However, for those who have more flexible mornings, a bath can be a
soothing and relaxing way to start the day.
Participant 5: I think the preference for a morning bath also depends on climate
and personal comfort. In warmer climates or during the summer season, amorning
bath can help freshen up and cool down. However, in colder climates, some may
prefer to take a bath in the evening to warm up before bed.

Activity 1
Participant 3: While I prefer showering in the evening, I can see the appeal of a
morning bath for its psychological benefits. It can serve as a transition from sleep
to an active state and help in setting intentions for the day.
Moderator: Thank you, everyone, for sharing your perspectives. Taking a bath
first thing in the morning has its advantages in terms of cleanliness, rejuvenation,
and mental preparation for the day. However, personal preferences, schedules,
and climate can also influence whether an individual chooses to adopt this
practice. Ultimately, it is important to find a routine that suits one's lifestyle and
promotes overall well-being.

Activity 1
Participant 5: I think seeking blessings from elders also helps to maintain family
traditions and cultural heritage. It reinforces the values and customs that have
been passed down through generations. It creates a sense of continuity and
preserves our cultural identity.
Moderator: Thank you, everyone, for sharing your thoughts. It is evident that
seeking blessings from elders has cultural, emotional, and familial significance.
While it may not be applicable or comfortable for everyone, the practice can
strengthen family bonds, preserve traditions, and provide guidance and support.
It is important to find a balance between cultural values and personal autonomy,
while still respecting the wisdom and experiences of our elders or suitable
mentors.

Activity 1
Outcome: -
Awareness of profession-specific code of conduct and importance of adherence
of that code specified. Ability to express opinions verbally and be empathetic to
diverse backgrounds and values.
[TSSM’s BSCOER] 6
Activity No - 02
Method: -
Write a 200-word essay on “Ambition”.
Ambition serves as the catalyst for personal growth and achievement. It ignites
the spark within individuals to strive for more, to reach beyond their current
circumstances, and to pursue their dreams relentlessly. Without ambition, many
of the world's greatest accomplishments would never have been realized. It is
the fuel that propels individuals to overcome obstacles and defy the odds.
However, ambition must be tempered with focus and determination. Without any
clear vision and a steadfast commitment to their goals, individuals may find out
themselves adrift, chasing after fleeting desires rather than pursuing meaningful
accomplishments. Ambition without direction is like a ship without a rudder, an
aimlessly drifting in the vast ocean of possibilities.

Rights and ethical behavior are closely intertwined, as ethics provide the guiding
principles for upholding and respecting the rights of individuals and communities.
Ethics establish a moral framework that helps us understand what is right and
wrong, and they play a crucial role in ensuring that our actions align with
principles of fairness, justice, and respect for human rights.
Rights, in their essence, are the entitlements and freedoms that individuals
possess by virtue of their humanity. They encompass a wide range of fundamental
rights, such as the right to life, liberty, and security of person, freedom of
expression, equality, and privacy. Ethical behavior involves recognizing and
upholding these rights, not only for oneself but for others as well.
Ethical behavior requires us to treat others with dignity, empathy, and fairness. It
entails respecting the autonomy and agency of individuals and ensuring that their
rights are not violated or undermined. It means acting in a manner that is
consistent with the principles of equality and non-discrimination, and actively
working towards the promotion and protection of human rights.
