1. Physiological needs: are biological requirements for human survival example; air, food, drinks , sleep and clothings. Our most basic needs is for the physical survival. This is the first thing to motivate our behaviour. Without this basic needs, it’s difficult for an individual to focus on high level of living. 2. Safety needs: are physiological needs that are satisfied, individual seek safety and security. This includes protection from harm, financial stability and a sense of order and predictability. 3. Love and belongings needs: Humans are social creatures who crave Connection’s and belongings. This level encomposses the need for love, affection, friendship and a sense of community. 4. Self-esteem needs: after fulfilling the lower level needs, individuals seek for self-esteem needs and recognition from others. This includes; the need for achievements, respect and a sense of competence. Low self-esteem or inferiority complex may result from imbalance during this level in the hierarchy.Maslow indicates that the need to respect or reputation is more important to children and adolescents and precede real self-esteem or dignity. 5. Self-actualization needs: This is the highest level in Maslow hierarchy of means and refers to the realization of persons potential , self- fullfilment, seeking personal growth and peak experience. Maslow describes this level as the desire to accomplish everything that one can and become everything that one is able of becoming. This can manifest in different ways such as making a positive impact on the world , or simply leaving a meaningful life.
