Good Morning to all of my friends and dear teacher.
Today my group-Akshara, Sai Darshana, Aadit and Suryansh are here to present our 3 dimensional model of the Structure of
the Earth.
Now, First of all let us talk generally about the Earth.
The Earth has 4 layers. Inner Core, Outer Core, Mantel and the Crust.
Akshara:Crust
The Earth's crust is its lightest, most buoyant rock layer. Continental crust covers 41 percent of the Earth's surface, though a
quarter of that area is under the oceans. The continental crust is 20 to 80 kilometres thick. Its rocks hold four billion years
of Earth history. We all live on the Crust.
Suryansh:Mantel
The mantle is the mostly solid bulk of Earth's interior. The mantle lies between Earth's dense, superheated core and its thin
outer layer, the crust. The mantle is about 2,900 kilometres (1,802 miles) thick, and makes up a whopping 84 percent of
Earth's total volume.
Aadit:Outer Core
The outer core is about 30% of the Earth's mass. Its temperature ranges from 4440°C to 6100°C (which is as hot as the
Sun!)
The outer core is a superheated liquid made of iron and nickel.
Sai Darshana:Inner Core
The inner core is made up of the same metals as the outer core (iron and nickel) but, instead of being liquid, it is a solid. The
inner core reaches temperatures of up to 5,500°C
With its immense heat energy, the inner core is like the engine room of the Earth. It is basically a solid ball.
CONCLUSION
We all had fun and explored many different ways to create this model.
