Christian Ethics
The study of ethics into how individuals people make choice of their actions and what will
portray themselves to other people on how to act morally right. It explores the principles of reasoning of
people to determine if are wrong and right in the given situation. Christian ethics is summarized by
Colossian 3:1-6 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is,
seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on
earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is your life
appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
5 Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and
covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 On account of these the wrath of God is coming.
Christian ethic is we follow what bible dos and “don’ts” it is the list of instruction on how we live
right in the world. A person might also refrain from crime and live morally in earth. Showing Love and
forgiveness is something we should prioritize. we should Practice Christian Ethics on decision making for
living godly living in personal morality. Have also a strong communication with God seek guide and
voicing your Christian value to the other people.
Christian ethics play a crucial role in believers. “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How
can we know the way?” Thomas asked (John 14:5). And then Jesus spoke words his followers have
memorized for the long centuries since: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the
Father except through me” (John 14:6). In this, Jesus summed up the basis for the Christian gospel, and,
flowing out of that gospel, the basis of Christian ethics. Christian ethics include complicated philosophical
and existential reflections in the most complex of the persons.
The focus of this relevance is not the process of the characters formation but to scriptures shape
of the moral actor. Teaching and practicing are intrinsic to the community of the faithful and its life.
There are also the moment when we face dilemmas that Bible may not directly address the
specific commands. In some cases instead being left without direction, we should look beyond the surface
and search the biblical principles to applied on our situation.
God will cover all the situation we just simple see and open the Bible to follow and applied to the
situation. We pray over the word of God and open ourselves to his spirit. The spirit will teach us the in
every situation they will guide us and teach us the principle on which we need to stand so we may live the
Christian world.
Be prayerfully apply the Bible Principle by allowing the Holy Spirit to instruct us, we can gain the
insights into the underlying values and lesson to navigate our uncertainties.
