Esha Kalikiri: Welcome to the 2024-2025 World Language Honor Society Induction ceremony.

These are students who have demonstrated academic achievement in all areas and have displayed
excellence in the study of World Language. These students have also completed the community
service component which has shown their commitment not only to their academics, but to their
community as well. Please join me congratulating the 2024-2025 World Language Honor Society
inductees [Please start clapping as the students process in from both sides. They stay standing until
all have entered.] Inductees, you may now be seated. We would like to begin with some remarks
from our principal, Mr. Daniel Finkle. Please join me in welcoming Mr. Finkle to the stage.

Esha Kalikiri: Thank you, Mr. Finkle. We will now continue with some remarks from Dr. David
Francis-Maurer. Please join me in welcoming Dr. Francis-Maurer to the stage.

Dr. Francis-Maurer’s remarks…

Esha Kalikiri: Thank you, Dr. Francis-Maurer. [Give your welcome and then say the below]

We will now initiate the inductees into their individual societies. I have the honor of presenting the
following candidates for membership into the French Honor Society. Please join us in welcoming
them to the stage. [Wait and continue after the French inductees have gone to the risers]

[Students count to three. Stand up in unison and walk to the risers from the seats.]

Leila Devera, Aaralyn Camp and Sarah Cohen will now read the names of the inductees. Please
hold your applause until all the names have been read.

Leila Devera, Aaralyn Camp and Sarah Cohen -[Read the names. Applaud at the end.]

Leila Devera: Now, Manar Hadi will present the oath.

[Leila Devera, Aaralyn Camp and Sarah Cohen go back to their seats.]

Manar Hadi: [Recite the oath. When finished with the oath, continue speaking.] Congratulations to
all the new members of the French Honor Society. You may now leave the stage.

[Students walk through the center back to their seats.]

Manar Hadi: Thank you, inductees. You may now be seated.

Manar Hadi: We would now like to initiate the Chinese inductees into the Chinese Honor Society.
Please welcome Matthew Wang to the stage

Matthew Wang: [Give speech. When done, read the next part]

I have the honor of presenting the following candidates for membership into the Chinese Honor
Society. Please join us in welcoming them to the stage.
[Students count to three. Stand up in unison and walk to the risers from the seats]

Matthew Wang: Chloe Lin, Micheal Tian, and Nathan Lau will now read the names of the
inductees. Please hold your applause until all the names have been read.

[Chloe Lin, Micheal Tian, and Nathan Lau read the names. Applaud at the end.]

Matthew Wang: Now, Connie Wu will present the oath.

Connie Wu: [Recite the oath. When finished with the oath, continue speaking.] Congratulations to
all the new members of the Chinese Honor Society. You may now leave the stage.

Connie Wu: Thank you, inductees. You may now be seated.

[Once they are seated, read the part below]

We would now like to initiate the German inductees into the German Honor Society. Please
welcome Nic Reynolds to the stage.

Nic Reynolds: [Give speech] I have the honor of presenting the following candidates for membership
into the German Honor Society. Please join us in welcoming them to the stage.

[Students count to three. Stand up in unison and walk to the risers from the seats]

River McDonald will now read the names of the inductees. Please hold your applause until all the
names have been read. [Go back to your seat]

[Read the names. Applaud at the end.]

River McDonald: Now, Cameron San Diego will present the oath.

[River goes back to the seats.]

Cameron San Diego: We would now like to initiate the Spanish inductees into the Spanish Honor
Society. Please welcome Sophie Pintel and Adam Mirmina to the stage.

Sophie Pintel: I have the honor of presenting the following candidates for membership into the
Spanish Honor Society. Please join us in welcoming them to the stage.
[Students count to three. Stand up in unison and walk to the risers from the seats. Continue speaking
once all are on the riser]

Adam and I will now read the names of the inductees. Please hold your applause until all the names
have been read.

Adam Mirmina: Now, Johanna Kazeem will present the oath.

Esmio to the stage.

Inductees, please rise. Please join me in congratulating the new members of the French, Chinese, German,
and Spanish Honor Societies. Inductees, you may now leave. We thank you all for coming and would
now like to invite you all to a reception in cafeteria 1.
