PATTERN INFORMATION
The Oak Seed socks are knitted cuff-down
3 stitch markers, cable needle, tapestry
in one piece, starting with a picot edge,
needle
then half-twisted rib stitch. The socks are
decorated with lace on the top of the foot
YARN QUALITY and texture over the leg. The heel is made
Unicorn Solid, Hobbii with the heel flap and gusset method.

1/2 LC (sssk) Sl 3 sts to CN and hold in front, k2, sssk from CN.
1/2 RC (sssk) Sl 3 sts to CN and hold in back, k2, sssk from CN.
Kyok: (k1, yo, k1) into 1 st.

Picot Cast On
Step 1. Using the Knitted cast-on method, cast on 5 sts to left needle.
Step 2. K2, cast off 1 st, k1, cast off 1 st, slip last st to left needle.
Step 3. Using the Knitted cast-on method, cast on 4 stitches.
Rep Steps 2-3 for cast on, ending with Step 2.

PATTERN BEGINS
CUFF
Using needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round and the Picot Cast-on
method, cast on 60 (72) sts. Join to work in the round, being careful not to twist sts. PM to
indicate beg of round.
Rounds 1-10: [P1, k1tbl] to end.

LEG
Next round: Work round 1 of Chart A to end, working 12-st rep 5 (6) times across round.
Working next round of chart each time, continue as set until round 19 of Chart A is
complete.

Next round: Remove beg of round marker, k4, PM for new beg of round, k to end.
Knit 4 rounds.
Work rounds 1-19 of Chart B.
Knit 4 rounds.

HEEL
Heel flap
K29 (35) sts for instep and place on hold. Heel flap will be worked over the last 31 (37) sts of
round.
