TO STUDY AND PERFORM PC TO PC COMMUNICATION USING ETHERNET .
STEP 1- Add 4 PCs and a hub.
STEP 2- Connect all PCs with Hub with Copper straight wire.
STEP 3- Give unique addresses to each PC.
STEP 4- Test network using ping command.

TO CREATE A STAR TOPOLOGY USING HUB AND SWITCH.
STEP 1- Add 6 PCs, a Hub and a Switch.
STEP 2- Connect 3 PCs with the hub and other 3 with the switch using a copper straight
wire.
STEP 3- Give unique IP address to each PC.
STEP 4- Check PDU connection in realtime and simulation between the PCs connected
to hub and switch separately.
STEP 5- Connect the hub and switch using copper-cross over wire.
STEP 6- Check PDU connection amongst PCs betwe
en PCs, hub
and the switch.
STEP 7- Test the connection using ping commands.

TO CREATE RING, BUS, TREE, HYBRID, MESH TOPOLOGIES.
1. RING TOPOLOGY
STEP 1- Align 4 PCs and 4 Switches in a ring.
STEP 2- Connect all with ‘Automatically choose connection type’ wire.
STEP 3- Give unique IP address to each PC.
STEP 4- Connect all PCs through PDU.
STEP 5- Test connection with ping commands.
2. BUS TOPOLOGY
STEP 1- Align 5 PCs and 5 Switches like a bus.
STEP 2- Connect all with ‘Automatically choose connection type’ wire.
STEP 3- Give unique IP address to each PC.
STEP 4- Connect all PCs through PDU.
STEP 5- Test connection with ping commands.
3. TREE TOPOLOGY
STEP 1- Align 8 PCs and 8 Switches like a tree.
STEP 2- Connect all with ‘Automatically choose connection type’ wire.
STEP 3- Give unique IP address to each PC.
STEP 4- Connect all PCs through PDU.
STEP 5- Test connection with ping commands.
4. MESH TOPOLOGY
STEP 1- Align 4 PCs and 4 Switches as shown.
STEP 2- Connect all with ‘Automatically choose connection type’ wire.
STEP 3- Give unique IP address to each PC.
STEP 4- Connect all PCs through PDU.
STEP 5- Test connection with ping commands.
5. HYBRID TOPOLOGY
STEP 1- Align 9 PCs and 4 Switches as shown below.

STEP 4- Connect all PCs through PDU.
STEP 5- Test connection with ping commands.

STEP 1- Add 1 switch from devices.
STEP 2- Change host name of switch.
STEP 3- Change message of the day and the delimiting character.
STEP 4- Change the line console password.
STEP 5- Change the secret password.

TO IMPLEMENT CLIENT SERVER NETWORK
STEP 1- Add a server, a switch and PCs as shown.
STEP 2- Connect all with automatic switch cable.
STEP 3- Config the server.
Turn on DHCP service.
IPv4 address of server on fastethernet.
Then, config the services on DHCP wherein default gateway,max users=24, start adrs=101(acc
to ip adrs) are to be saved.
Lastly write the default gateway on config settings.
STEP 4- Now config the ip address of PCs, it will notify as successful when configuration is
changed to DHCP.
STEP 5- Check the connection amongst all devices through PDU.

TO IMPLEMENT CONNECTION BETWEEN DEVICES USING ROUTER
STEP 1- Add 2 PCs and a Router.
STEP 2- Connect them with cross over wires
.STEP 3- Assign unique IP addresses to both the PCs.
STEP 4- Go to Router’s config and assign unqiue values in Gigabitethernet 0/0, Gigabitethernet
0/1 and RIP.
STEP 5- Connect all devices with each other with PDU.
STEP 6- Test with ping commands.

TO PERFORM REMOTE DESKTOP SHARING WITHIN LAN CONNECTION
STEP 1- Add a switch, server and a laptop as shown.
STEP2- Connect the switch and laptop with fastethernet while the switch and router with
gigaethernet both using copper straight through wire.
STEP 3- Config the ip address of laptop.
STEP 4- Perform commands on Router>CLI
STEP 5- Check ping and telnet commands on cmd on laptop.
