C. Motivation HUNT ME!
The class will be divided into two groups. After that, envelopes will be placed all around the
classroom, and the students will find them. Then, they will solve the puzzle and paste it on the
board.
D. Activity Think and Share: Creative Recycling
Show pictures of artworks made from recycled materials.
Ask students: “What creative items can you imagine making with these
materials?”
o Have students pair up to share their ideas briefly.
E. Analysis Analysis (15 Minutes)
Interactive Lecture with Visual Aids:
Discuss traditional techniques using visuals:
o Singkaban: Bamboo shaving for decorations.
o Puni: Leaf folding for creative toys and "Palaspas."
o Pabalat: Decorative paper wrapping for pastillas.
o Taka Making: Paper mache crafts from Paete, Laguna.
o Highlight the processes and importance of these techniques.
Discussion Questions:
o What challenges do these traditional techniques face today?
o Why is it important to preserve these techniques?
F. Abstraction Group Brainstorming Activity:
Divide students into small groups.
Each group identifies one traditional material or technique from the discussion.
Brainstorm how they could use modern or recyclable materials to replicate or reimagine the
technique.
G. Application Creative Workshop: Recycled Art Project
O Provide each group with recyclable materials (plastic bottles, paper, etc.).
O Task: Create an artwork inspired by a traditional technique (e.g., a miniature Singkaban or a
decorative Pabalat).
O Groups present their work to the class, explaining the technique and materials used.
