MAJOR FIELD OF CONCENTRATION

STRATEGIES FOR EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP

1. What is the difference between educational leadership and educational administration? Can we use the
terms interchangeably?

Educational administration and educational leadership are still sometimes used interchangeably, While
leadership entails the well-being of team and motivating them, while administration involves ensuring that your team meets its
goals and they have all the resources to do so. Both leaders and administrators require a broad range of skills, patience and
empathy to deal with conflicting situations

2. Cite top three challenges that beset educational leaders during the pandemic and explain
effective strategies to combat these challenges.

a. Implementing blended and distance learning —. Use multiple types of instructional materials, Incorporate technology for
reinforcement, Try new teaching techniques, Keep your traditional methods,Vary your assessments, Mix up group work styles,
Try a digital curriculum,

b. Prioritizing mental health support —Build strong and Meaningful relationships are the building blocks that help kids and
teens do their best every day. Emphasize social emotional learning that helps kids and teens acquire skills necessary for
social and emotional success. Integrate physical activity Regular exercise has been shown to boost serotonin and
dopamine in the brain, which also can improve focus and attention.

c. Widening student equity gaps — There’s a real possibility of those who need the most attention getting left behind in the
current environment, and the danger is that marginalized populations that already experience achievement gaps

3. Propose a plan of action, incorporating sound strategies, in the event that the face-to-face
delivery will already be permitted. Take into consideration the health and safety of the learners
and the prevailing protocols in place.

EDUCATIONAL STATISTICS WITH SOFTWARE APPLICATION

1. Two applicants are competing for an encoding job which requires a high degree of accuracy. Under time pressure they are not allowed to
edit their work before printing a hard copy. Samples of their work are studied to measure the number of typing errors. They make per
page. The results are as follows
Encoder A: 2, 0, 3, 0, 5, 8, 10
Encoder B: 3, 2, 4, 3, 5, 5, 6
Find the mean and the standard deviation of the number of typing errors each encoder committed. Compare the variability of these two
sets of data and interpret results. Based on these data, which encoder should be hired? Support your answer. 4

Encoder A and B both have the same mean for the errors. But while computing the standard deviation the
encoder B got a lower standard deviation result meaning encoders B result is more reliable the encoder A.
Therefore encoder B should be hired.
2.Is there a significant difference between the level of performance of the pupils in Science using Practical Work

Yes. There a significant difference between the level of performance of the pupils in Science using Practical Work
Strategy in the pre-test and the post-test as per the t-test analysis result conducted which is lower the 0.05. The mean
is considered significantly different from x if the test statistic is in the top 2.5% or bottom 2.5% of its probability
distribution, resulting in a p-value less than 0.05.
