Part 2: Setting up the VM


1. The quickstart guide by Cloudera can be found below

2. Download and Install Virtual Box from here:​ ​https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
23​ (pick the version based on your OS)

3. Unzip the VM zip file and and open virtual box


4. Click on Open a a new VM with details as below

5. Continue and give 2Gb minimum memory size


6. Click on use an existing hard disk

7. Open the selection window and navigate to the location where you unzipped the VM
folder that we get in the start.
8. Select the VMDK file

9. Wait for it to run and You are all set!

Note: Make sure you have virtualization turned on for your CPU, in your BIOS settings.
