Notations and Abbreviations

Actual prices of export offers and real prices of recent export deals are weekly published for key steel producers of CIS (Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and
Moldova) in the given edition.

The price information is shown in the form of separate tables for each product type.
The price tables contain the following column titles:
Holding, country - includes the name of a holding company to which the given steel producer belongs.
Supplying mills, country - shows the name of steel mills.
Terms of delivery - shows shipping port at FOB delivery and/or destination country at CFR/DAT/DAP delivery.
MENA – Middle East & North Africa.
GCC - Gulf Cooperation Council.
Terms of payment - specifies the payment term used.
L/C – abbreviated Letter of Credit
Prepay – shortened from prepayment with an indication of part of the advance payment, if it is known
B/L - abbreviated bill of lading
Shipment volume - shows the size of a given shipment in metric tons with an indication of steel grade, if necessary
Prod. month (production month) - shows the month(s) of the current year when the given steel lot will be (or was) produced.
Price - contains all price information, including:
Offer (offers) - is original producer’s offer price (prices) for a specific export direction (in USD/t or Euro/t).
Trend – illustrates the direction of price movement during the reported week
Marks ▲ and ▼ - correspond to either increase or decrease of the offer prices with an indication of an average value of the price rise (fall) in US$/t.
The absence of marks ▲ ▼ in column “Trend” indicates that either no stable trend was formed during the last week or no offers at a given direction were
available on the previous week. The marks are also absent for deal prices.
Week - is the number of the week since the beginning of the year
Standard size, mm - illustrates available dimension types of steel products.
Possible terms of delivery - shows a likely set of delivery terms which are used by given producer
Possible terms of payment - shows a possible set of payment terms which are used by given producer
Surcharge for thickness and width - illustrates the existing system of surcharges for thickness and width of flat steels.
Surcharge for the steel grade - illustrates the existing system of surcharges for steel grades.
In addition to price tables, the edition contains some text comments which illustrate valuable details of export operations of a given producer as well as its
contact details.
