NOTICE Do not drop, hit, impact, or apply excessive force to the FI-1000.

 Precautions for wiring

Use the FI-1000 within its rated range. This sensor should be used with
CAUTION a DC power supply. Do not apply AC voltage. Also, do not use a load
that exceeds the permitted range.
1. Check the wire colors during wiring.
2. Use an insulated stabilizing power supply.
3. Do not apply excessive tensile force to the cable.
4. Ensure that the cable tip is not submerged in water during wiring
work.
5. Do not place the cables connected to this product together with
power supply cables for other products.
6. Isolate the cables as far away as possible from any source of noise.
NOTICE
7. Do not use an M12 power supply cable with a total length longer
than 30 m. During IO-Link communication, do not use a cable with a
total length longer than 20 m.
8. When temperature, concentration, or level sensors are connected to
the Multi-port, do not use cables with a length longer than 20 m
between the display unit and the devices.
9. Do not use a cable with a length longer than 20 m between the flow
meter and display unit.

 Other precautions
Important 1. When power is applied to this product, it enters an approximately 17
second “startup” process before it is ready to be used. Do not use
the outputs from the product during this period.
2. Initial drift may occur after the power is turned ON. To detect subtle
differences, let the FI-1000 warm up for approximately 15 to 30
minutes before use.
3. Do not bring a strong magnetic force or magnetic field close to the
FI-1000.

This product includes open source software components. For information about
these open source software components, refer to the “License Information” on the
“Help” menu in [FD-H/FI History Reader], which is software that can be
downloaded from the Internet.
