residential and commercial areas .

ANANTYA RESORT

 INTRODUCT ION
Anantya's design is inspired by Laurie Baker and Geoffrey Bawa's ideals of minimalism, eco
friendliness and trueness of materials. The resort has been designed to leave a minimal eco
footprint, using reconditioned tiles and stone pillars, locally procured rubble and brick, sewage
treatment and water saving, contour constructions and many other techniques. Anantya features
21 lake facing villas in 4 categories, each offering something special to the discerning traveler.
The villas seamlessly blend the outdoors and the indoors to create a refined space to retreat and
relax. Rustic local inishes of mud walls, exposed brickwork, handmade tiles on sloping roofs,
rubble masonry mesh, and tasteful interiors with large windows lets our guests experience the
tropics from the comfort of the indoors.

LOCAT ION
The 4-star Anantva is quiet lush tropical retreat nestled within 1000 acres of rubber plantations.
Anantva is perched on the banks of the Chittar Lake where the Western Ghats give wav to Alli
Kulams and Tamara Kulams (Lily and Lotus Ponds) in beautiful Kanvakumari district At Anantva,
shades of green and hues of blue stretch as far the can see. The peace , tranquility and calm of
water and picturesque will recharge you . Nestled in the midst of rubber plantations and

 SADHANA POOL VILLA
• Named after the Two Sadhanas — The highest category of Villas the
Sadhana are the ultimate in Luxury and closeness with nature —
perfectly poised between the outdoor and indoor. A Living room and a
Bedroom with excellent views of the lake, a second bathroom, a
plunge pool with the best view of the lake are additional features. The
open air concept bathroom is enveloped by mud walls and a water
body. Option of a private dinner at your Pergolides Pool Deck and a
night time candle lit Pool/ Tub experience.
 SIDDHI VILLA
• Named after the Asta Siddhis — These Private Villas with a
compounded garden have a traditional "Padipura" Entrance which can be
bolted from inside by the guest for total privacy. The 1000 sq. Ft. of private
garden has a lily pond and a thatched roofed sit out/ Gazebo from which to
enjoy the Lake view. An open to the sky seated Bathing area is another
attraction. The gardens of siddhi villas are all unique, planted with native
varieties of plants Special candle lite dinner at the gazebo can be arranged
upon request.
 CHAKRA COTTAGE
The Chakra Cottages are named for the 7 yoga chakras. Each cottage
is positioned to offer reasonable privacy in a huge landscaped garden
offering excellent views of the Chittar Lake. An open to sky private green
Yoga court allows for yoga, meditation, contemplation and reflection at
any time Of the day/ night. Suitable for small wellness or family groups. A
small outdoor barbeque can be arranged for groups taking all 7 chakra
cottages.
VEDA JACUZZI VILLA
Named after The Four Vedas —Similar in construction to the Siddhi
Villas, these Villas also have private compounded gardens with lily
pond and sit out. open to sky outdoor Jacuzzi with a view of the lake
allows you to soak in nature. Option of a private dinner at your
Gazebo and a night time candle lit Jacuzzi experience .
 DINING INTERIOR
Anataya's menu reflects the palates of our international clientele. Our chefs have
crafted dishes inspired by Indian, Continental, Italian, Mexican and Asian
cuisines. Anataya also feature a number of local delicacies on our menus, For
guests taking advantage of our ayurvedic or yoga packages, we offer a more
'Sattvic' cuisine. A Sattvic diet is the traditional term for a yoga diet or sentient
diet which focuses on foods that have 'Sattva Guan', (literally translated to 'pure
benefits'). A Sattvic diet leads to clarity of mind and offers maximum benefit to
the body.

Introduction:

ETTUKETTU THE SPECIALITY RESTURANT
Ettukettu, the multi-cuisine, 115-seat restaurant owns the place of pride
at Kumarakom Lake Resort. A princely eight-sided mansion with 2
central courtyards, the Ettukettu bespeaks of the grandeur of yesteryear
Kerala's regal architecture. Commissioned by the King Marthanda Varma
as a gift to his favored martial arts tutor, Edamame Kellamthat Gurukul,
the mansion was built with all the magnificence of the homes of the
nobility of those days. The Ettukettu had been dismantled from its
original location and relocated in all its glory at Kumarakom Lake Resort,
and is today dedicated to the culinary arts as it once was to martial art.
