The W520CX-M contains both built-in wire-speed L2 switch and L3 routing

gateway with port forwarding, NAT and NAPT address translation, Internet
WAN (PPPoE client, Static IP address, DHCP client) support for high speed
Internet service.

Service Scenario

Designed exclusively for whole-home coverage, the W520CX-M is a wireless Access Point (AP) built to the
802.11ax wireless standard. The AP supports dual-band 2T2R concurrent 2.4GHz and 5GHz radios, Multi-User
MIMO on downstream and upstream traffic, and EasyMesh. Software features allows users to easily connect and
enjoy the full benefits of wireless services. The W520CX-M is an ideal solution for residential and office users to
maximize their ability to deploy high-speed wireless networks.

AP acting as a router, establishing a PPPoE or IPoE connection session and performing DHCP, NAT / PAT
functions so that client on the LAN can access the Internet (HSI). Acting as an L2 bridge device as the setting
environment for PPPoE/DHCP connection session from STB (IPTV) devices; telephones (VoIP) and computers
(HSI) are located behind ONT devices. Besides that, AP supports the VPN L2/L3 service for specific customer
requirements.

The W520CX-M is located at a central point or multiple locations within a home or office and connects wirelessly
or with Ethernet to a DZS Ethernet or Fiber Termination point. Multiple Wi-Fi clients including laptops and multi-
media devices can be easily connected using Ethernet ports or wireless interfaces. Acting as either a Controller
or an Agent the W520CX-M can support bridging and access functions using 5GHz and 2.4GHz frequency bands.
