1. State the relationship between Cost Accounting, Management Accounting and Financial
Accounting.
2. Calculate the Machine Hour Rate: -
There are 5 machines in the shop. Following is the detail of charges involved:
Rent and Rates for the shop – Rs.4800
Depreciation on each machine- Rs.500
Repairs and Maintenance for Five machines- Rs.1000
Electric Charges for the shop-Rs.540
Power consumed-Rs.3000
Supervision per Machine- Rs.600
Sundry Supplies for five machines-Rs.450
Hire Purchase Installment = Rs.1200 (including 300 as interest)
Attendant’s Salary for 5 machines = Rs.60 p.m
The machine uses 1000 machine hours in a year.
